Trauma-informed training equips participants with the essential skills needed in supporting individuals who have experienced trauma.
These sessions are designed for volunteers and professionals supporting people seeking asylum and refuge in Northern Ireland, helping to enhance understanding of refugee experiences. With a focus on trauma-informed practices, you will be equipped to provide compassionate and effective support for refugees.
The core elements of the face-to-face 4-hour training will provide:
● A foundational understanding of psychological trauma: What is trauma, and how traumatic and chronic stress presents and impacts those we are alongside.
● Exploring holistic, practical, and therapeutic resources and tools to apply to practice supporting refugees.
We are holding two sessions next week and you can sign up through our volunteering interest form in our bio. We hope to see you there! 🤍⭐️
