I wanted the selection to feel organic and unpredictable, moving between deep, worldly sounds and instrumental grooves, introducing tension and rawness while still keeping a sense of flow. I was drawn to records that surprise you when they arrive, tracks that change the direction unexpectedly but still somehow make sense in the context of what came before. I wanted the listener to stay engaged and slightly off balance in a good way, never fully certain where the next transition might lead. The vocals at the end bring a sense of release and optimism, a reminder that we’re moving out of the darker winter months and into something lighter. Having held regular parties at Sheffield's Plot 22 for some time now...we felt it was about time to bring them to Eastern Bloc so you can experience what they have to offer!
