The lens that came with my F3 is a bit of an odd one, it’s a 35-135mm with a 35mm macro function. I cannot begin to explain how tiny this koala was, pinhead sized in fact. I took this shot at a model train exp, next year I’ll try take some more photos of the trains rather than the tiny wildlife. Hope you enjoy! 🎞️ Kodak Ultramax 400 📷 Nikon FM2 (35mm macro lens) 🧪 @hillvalephoto

These are from my first roll back from my new but still broken FM2. I made a silly decision by pushing Delta 3200 to 6400, probably not the best plan of action to test out the camera, but definitely happy with the results! These shots are from my latest walk around of ANU, I don’t attend the uni but have always appreciated some of the architecture there. Hope you enjoy. 🎞️ Ilford Delta 3200 (pushed to 6400) 📷 Nikon FM2 (50mm and 16mm fisheye) 🧪 @hillvalephoto

For some reason when I posted the photos I took of @privatewives set at @dissentcafeandbar I totally forgot to include the best photo. When I get the scans back from the lab they don’t necessarily arrive in the order that they were taken, this often confuses my lil monkey brain. Please no one ask about my photo filing system, there isn’t one. Hope you enjoy 🎞️ ORWO Wolfen NC500 📷 Canon AE-1 Program (28mm lens) 🧪 @hillvalephoto

From the day that we shaved my best friend’s hair into a mullet and then to a buzz cut. This is my best friend Katie and I am so incredibly proud and grateful to be her best friend. Everyone should get themselves a Katie, but not my Katie, find your own! Hope you enjoy! 🎞️ Ilford Delta 3200 📷 Nikon FM2 (16mm fisheye lens) 🧪 @hillvalephoto

I understand that this film stock has a really heavy blue bias, this is something I’m ok with. I also know that it doesn’t necessarily portray colours accurately however in my weird lil sorrow ridden noggin this is how I see the world so yeah. Hope you enjoy! 🎞️ ORWO Wolfen NC500 📷 Canon AE-1 Program (28mm lens) 🧪 @hillvalephoto

These are from a little while ago and I’ve completely forgotten what band the first and third photos are of. My new FM2 that I bought recently broke on me few weeks back, I took a photo and the shutter made a not so good sound. Fortunately it’s not dead, but after not being used for 20 years it definitely needs a significant service, I’ve sent it off to a small business in Newtown Sydney and I should get it back in about 10 weeks, good things take time. As for now I’ve got an indestructible Nikon F3 to keep me going. 🎞️ ORWO Wolfen nc500 📷 Canon AE-1 Program (28mm F/2.8 lens) 🧪 @hillvalephoto

I’ve always found death fascinating, I love skulls, bones and taxidermy. I’ve also been taking photos of birds, both dead and alive since I’ve had access to a camera. I found this lil guy while scoping out the back of the train station. They were so peaceful. Hope you enjoy! 🎞️ Ilford HP5+ 📷 Nikon F3 (50mm) 🧪 @hillvalephoto

Was an absolute honour to take photos of @privatewives during their album tour, I can’t explain how much I love this band! Pretty happy with how these turned out, I did notify my lab that the photos would be blue and grainy as I was using that German ORWO film again. Hope you enjoy! 🎞️ ORWO Wolfen NC500 📷 Canon AE-1 Program (28mm F/2.8) 🧪 @hillvalephoto

I do really like this photo of this big arse needle in my arm that was sucking up all my lymphocytes. I know it’s super underexposed but it wasn’t very bright in the room at the time and I had my left hand with a cannula attached to take the photo (cameras are not designed single left handed operation) also an awkward photo of my dog Monty. Hope you enjoy! 🎞️ Fuji 400 (1) Ilford HP5+ (2) 📷 Canon AE-1 Program (28mm F/2.8) 🧪 @hillvalephoto

Two posts in two days!? What is this madness!? Late last year I was flown back down to Melbourne to give a lymphocyte donation to the same patient who got my stem cells earlier in the year. So of course I brought my camera, this time I went with my extraordinary friend @eva.meffert who as always is an absolute blast to be around, especially in the hospital. Let me know if you want to see the photo of the big needle in my arm that I took using my left hand and lips? (I’m left handed) 🎞️ Fuji 400 📷 Canon AE-1 Program (Canon 28mm F/2.8) 🧪 @hillvalephoto

A little bit of a hiatus, partly cause I was waiting for enough rolls to send off to the lab and partly due to my brain actively trying to kill me, I’m still here by the way so depression can F off for a bit. This is from the first roll taken on my new old Nikon F3 that I purchased late last year. The roller bearing advance lever is is devine, anyhoo I hope you enjoy this photo from the @canberraglassworks gallery. 🎞️ Ilford HP5+ 📷 Nikon F3 (Nikkor 50mm F/1.4) 🧪 @hillvalephoto

Music is a huge part of who I am and no one facilitates it better than the folks at @gutwrench_records . Gutwrench put on DIY gigs at the most absurd locations and they bring a beautiful sense of community to us wiggly air enjoyers. If you would like the read further on a silly tangent please read on… In my previous post I mentioned the idea journaling and I wanted to clarify my stance on the subject. Personally I find the act of journaling entirely selfish, I don’t want to document for myself exclusively, I’d rather people see, read and hear the utter nonsense that exudes from my noggin, who knows they might like it. As well as the images you see on this page the music is a representation of me too, it was once discussed that the three words to describe my music taste were: inaccessible, snobby and abrasive, I am ok with this and I use this page to thrust it upon those of whom are unsuspecting. Thank for coming to my TED talk. 🎞️ Ilford Delta 3200 📷 Canon AE-Program (28mm prime lens) 🧪 @hillvalephoto
