ALBUM ANNOUNCEMENT: New York City post-hardcore legends Quicksand have signed to Equal Vision Records and announced their new album ‘Bring On The Psychics’, which will be released on July 17, 2026. The band is also now premiering two new singles from the upcoming album — “Get To It” and “Regenerate” — and an official music video for “Get To It”. Both songs are available now exclusively via @RevolverMag .
Marking an entirely new era for the storied three-piece — guitarist/vocalist Walter Schreifels, bassist/vocalist Sergio Vega, and drummer Alan Cage — ‘Bring On The Psychics’ serves as the sonic bridge between the band’s heavy and influential nineties sound and the ambitious, experimental output contained within its more recent era. Produced and mixed by Jon Markson (Drug Church, Drain) across 10 days, Bring On The Psychics once again finds @qsnyc reinventing the sound they helped pioneer. Upcoming tour dates include a special conversation and signing event at Rough Trade in New York later this month and a European tour in June.

“‘Get To It’ is the voice in your head calling bullshit on all the ways we overthink, over rationalize, postpone, and avoid doing the things we really want to do and becoming the people we really want to be. Get to it, time is running out.” - @walterschreifels of @qsnyc

It's impossible to overstate the influence that @qsnyc has had on the hardcore scene. Inspired by a quote from scientist Carl Sagan, "Bring On The Psychics," Quicksand's first album in five years and @equalvision debut, sees guitarist/vocalist @walterschreifels examining his past through his present reality. From the hook-driven heaviness of the opener, "Get To It," to the shoegaze splendor of "Crystallize," the band covers a lot of sonic ground on "Bring On The Psychics," but it always sounds like Quicksand.
