Your voice matters in shaping a safer healthcare system. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ When healthcare-related harm happens, the B.C. Ministry of Health wants to ensure its review processes actually work for 2SLGBTQIA+ communities. We know our community faces unique barriers like discrimination and a lack of cultural safety, and we want to change that. @qmunity and @sagah.ca are hosting 3 dates of a Community Engagement Workshop to hear directly from you. Your feedback will help inform real changes to provincial healthcare policy and practice. 🌈Three dates, one workshop ✨ Have your say: Help us make healthcare reviews safer, more accessible, and more meaningful for everyone. Join one of the following workshop dates (Link in bio): 🩷Tuesday, May 26th (In-Person) 💙Tuesday, June 9th (Virtual) 💚Tuesday, June 23rd (In-Person) In-Person workshops will be held at TRAC, 150-900 Howe St. in Downtown Vancouver, BC. All responses are anonymous and will be used to improve B.C.’s Patient Care Quality Program.

New Peer Group!💬🌈 Queerodiverse is a welcoming peer support group for Two-Spirit, queer, and trans folks who are neurodivergent, self-identify as neurodivergent, or are curious and exploring. Whether you have a formal diagnosis, are self-diagnosed, or are still wondering: you belong here. This group embraces the full spectrum of neurodiversity, including autism, ADHD/ADD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia, Tourette’s, OCD, and other neurodivergent identities. Queerodiverse is a space grounded in respect, curiosity, and shared understanding. May 5th is coming up, and we wanted to share a list of events and activations happening across the province to bring awareness to Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls and Two-Spirit folks. MMWIG isn't just a day of significance to observe. This day marks the very real and ongoing oppressive crisis happening to Indigenous women, girls and Two-Spirit folks. MMWIG is about ongoing action, awareness and Indigenous knowledge. This MMWIG do something actionable, more than just wearing a red shirt. You can donate, attend an event, join a memorial walk, and wear a red shirt on May 5th. And continue to listen to Indigenous knowledge keepers.

@qmunity x @portalawbc are back with another webinar! This time, we are talking about what the law says when a workplace becomes so toxic that staying feels impossible. This session will help workers: - understand the difference between lawful management and bullying or harassment; - recognize when an employer’s actions may amount to constructive dismissal; and - learn practical options for responding before resigning. Participants will leave with tools and knowledge to protect themselves, assert their rights, and consider alternatives to being forced out of a job. Join us on May 21st from 12-1 PM This presentation is virtual. Sign up at the link in our bio

Today is Lesbian Visibility Day 🧡🤍🩷 Did you know Vancouver was the site of Canada's first Dyke March? In 1981, a group of 200 lesbians took to the streets chanting: "Look over here, look over there, lesbians are everywhere!" This unofficial march became Canada's first Dyke March, leading to similar events across the country in future years. Each year, our very own @vancouverdykemarch continues this tradition right here every Pride season. If you haven't already, we encourage you to follow @vancouverdykemarch and support their efforts to bring sapphic community together each year 💖 We also compiled some more bits of history and a list of lesbian artists to check out on our blog. Head to qmunity.ca/reasources to read more! Link in bio 🔗
