Proper injection site matters.🐄
Best practice is to administer cattle injections in the neck, not the rump. This helps protect valuable cuts like the sirloin and reduces the risk of bruising or infection.🥩
We know neck injections can be challenging, but correct technique helps protect both food quality and safety.
Remember also: If a needle breaks, the animal should be identified, treated, and tracked appropriately under the broken needle policy in the QMS Cattle & Sheep Assurance Scheme.
