We’re getting excited about the Flagstaff premiere of “Trailblazers,” the documentary about Troy and Gil Gillenwater, two brothers who hiked the length of the state in 1982, decades before the Arizona Trail was complete — you might have read about their adventure in our February issue.
The documentary will premiere on Friday, April 10, at the Flagstaff Mountain Film Festival, which runs from April 8-12 at the historic Orpheum Theater downtown. I was just looking through some of the other films, and the lineup is amazing. I definitely want to see “Facing the Falls,” which documents the story of Cara Elizabeth Yar Khan, who ventured out on a daring, 12-day expedition through the Grand Canyon while battling a fatal muscle-wasting disease. There’s inspiration all around us.

✨ World Premiere —

In 1982, decades before the Arizona Trail was completed, two brothers from Phoenix set out on a journey to hike the length of the state. Like Lewis and Clark before them, they encountered all kinds of hardships, including flooded rivers, snakes, scorpions, snowdrifts, mountain lions … even gunfire.
In our February issue, we tell the story of Gil and Troy Gillenwater, a couple of characters straight out of the Old West. It’s a great story. In fact, it’s so good it’s getting its own documentary. Produced by Quantum Leap Productions, “Trailblazers” will make its world premiere on Thursday, February 19, at the Scottsdale Center for the Arts.
The screening will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Virginia G. Piper Theater, and will be followed by a public lands panel, featuring filmmakers and conservation leaders.
And that’s the bigger picture here — the protection of public lands, which belong to all of us. Through our story and the accompanying documentary, we’re hoping to put a spotlight on the Arizona Trail Association, a nonprofit whose mission is to protect, maintain, enhance, promote and sustain the Arizona Trail as a unique encounter with the natural environment. Because 87 percent of the AT is on public land, protection is an ongoing challenge, and the ATA needs your help.

New Exhibit "Following Their Roots" open @sedavvaakimuseum !! We are grateful to have been able to play a small part in this new exhibit with our craft of storytelling through interviews from respected members of the Local Tribal Communities.
If you haven't been to the S'edav Va'aki Museum, (formerly the Pueblo Grande Museum and Archaeological Park) now is the time! It's cooling down and this museum is a must see for locals and visitors alike, where you can see a platform mound and centuries-old irrigation canals that are from the valley's first ancestral Indigenous Communities.

The Quantum team and #teamgolfshot worked together during @golfshotgps ’s journey to becoming the #1 golf app on the market.
Like most Apps, this means we worked in tandem with the development of many of the new features while creating videos to illustrate them. One key challenge was some of the feature refinement continued right up to the day of releasing it and the video had to be ready on launch day as well, so we worked with that in mind, ready for changes up until the last minute!
A prime example of this collaboration is our work on the Swing ID function, a groundbreaking feature enabled by the gyroscope in the Apple Watch. While the Golfshot GPS team had a clear vision of how it would look and function, we were tasked with creating the accompanying video in advance of release. This meant not only comprehending the technology but also building a video framework that could seamlessly incorporate refinements and adjustments, ensuring a synchronized launch on the App Store.
Thank you, @threelittlebirds_3 and @remohcs ! Working with your team was so much fun!
“Passion is a key differentiator for the Quantum Leap Team. Their hard work, creativity and endless pursuit of innovation in their field have provided us with exceptional content that highlights our products. I'd recommend this team to anyone!”
