Then came another major blessing. I reached out to my brother Charlamagne Tha God and secured a spot on my favorite radio show ever — The Breakfast Club. A true full-circle moment. Much love to DJ Envy, Lorne LaRosa, Jess, Eddie, and the entire BC family.

Today, I celebrate myself and my accomplishments. It’s beautiful when others celebrate you, but no one can honor your journey the way you can. I’m a strong advocate for mental health awareness and believe seeking professional support is essential — especially for gay men of color.
This project reaffirmed my purpose: developing artists, shaping creative visions, and helping talent transform ideas into impactful cultural moments.

Picking up where I left off…
Once the vision was clear, it was time to bring the right people together to make it real.
I want to acknowledge 💜 Josh, my best friend, for investing in this vision and believing in me from the very beginning.
I knew exactly who to call to help shape the sound: my Grammy Award-winning brother, Corte Ellis. Not only did he create an incredible track, but he also introduced the world to the amazing vocals of Risa, featured on “Run To.”
Angela knows Jadakiss is my favorite rapper, so when the idea came to feature him — and he said YES — I was beyond excited. Huge shout-out to Hitmaker for helping shape the sound and mastering the album.
After completing the creative work, the next challenge was finding the right home for the project.
My sister and manager, Janine Saulsbury, and I successfully got Angela signed to Ruff Ryders — making history as the legendary label’s first spoken-word artist. Being part of that milestone is something I will forever be grateful for. Thank you, God.

(( I’m incredibly excited to finally begin sharing this journey with the world.
For the past few years, I’ve been quietly developing my BFF 💕💖 Angela Simmons into a recording artist. You might ask — how can someone become a recording artist without singing or rapping? The answer is spoken word.
From day one, I told Angela I was taking this seriously — my vision was for us to create Grammy-level work. But the goal was always bigger than music. We wanted to create art that heals.
Just weeks before starting this project, I lost my mother. I was at one of the lowest points in my life and knew I needed healing myself. Truthfully, I didn’t want to work with anyone — including Angela. But she reminded me that sometimes purpose shows up exactly when you need it most.
That moment pushed me to move forward with the vision God placed on my heart.
Entering this project, I wore many hats — producer, creative director, and A&R — shaping every step of the creative process. Angela trusted me completely, and together we began building something deeply meaningful.
And that was only the beginning…
