Hourly Comics Day is an important day for me < 3
A the night before I saw Olivia Barton with Charlie, and she sang this song I didn’t know about being fresh out of college. I certainly felt it very deeply, sigh.
What a time what a time!!! CXC’s first ever Zine Lab @cartooncrossroads was such a success and such a fantastic time. We had about 50 walk ins during our open studio!! All of you were so ready to zine and it was sooo sooo much fun!! Thank you for folding, cutting, drawing, and jamming with us during our fav time of the year!! 🫶🏼 Hope to see you in 2027!!

CAT SNACK — published in the @cbusscribbler this Sept 2025 issue!
This comic chronicles an argument inspired by real-life events in which my sweet baby William crushes the bejeezus out of Matt and I’s potato chips (proof of crushing attached). Though Matt and I don’t argue TOO bad about the chip dregs IRL, it did make for a fun, pantry-inspired comic.
Some BTS sketches and process, though I neglected to photograph or film any of the inking for some reason 🧍♂️
I actually whipped out the real dip pen and ink pot for this one, and struggled over Stories to figure out a way to get non-photo blue without a blue pencil. Ended up just taping the sketch onto my laptop to DIY a light box because my Epson refused to print on Bristol paper, though it’s done it in the past…… printing a very light cyan onto paper does work, so that any future scanning nearly ignores the blue sketch below.
Photos show mostly just editing, like the red circles over places I wanted to touch up in Procreate, shown in video as well.
And yeah, William is named after the Goonie’s One Eyed Willy : )
Cheers!
I made this comic in 2024 for the Scribbler’s 13th issue, but in light of issue 17 coming out this Fall, I wanted to add it to my online Instagram portfolio before my new comic drops. I’m trying out reels!!! I will figure out a way to film the process that’s in the right aspect ratio going forward, lol. You will just have to deal with the weirdness while I learn 🤪

Pierrot’s Halloween - published in the Columbus Scribbler, issue 13, Spring 2024
Somewhat inspired by a real event, plus some “Mean Girls” inspo too, this comic chronicles a hand-made costume, the hope stitched in, and a sub-par reaction from Pierrot’s peers at a Halloween party.
My first ever published comic! Previous issues are viewable through the @cbusscribbler archives page, and current issues can be purchased as well.

2 times I have cried recently
Definitely do recommend Dancing at The Pity Party especially to those living without their parents, it was just not the best time for me to read it on that particular day apparently
I AM THE BETWEEN. Intaglio on toned paper. 2024.
I used to dig out the sandy dirt in the holes of the sidewalk in my childhood home. I wanted them to be empty. When I think about “between” I think about how I am between things. I AM the between, between young and old, then and now and later, her and me.
