Subnautica 2 just pulled off one of the biggest survival game launches in years. The Subnautica 2 Early Access release sold 1 million copies in the first hour and 2 million within 12 hours - on PC and Xbox only, with no PlayStation 5 version yet. Steam concurrent players peaked at 467,582, and over 651,000 across Steam, Epic, and Xbox combined. That’s roughly 9x the original Subnautica’s all-time peak. Best Buy just leaked the GTA 6 preorder date and it’s happening Monday, May 18th 👀 An affiliate email from Best Buy revealed a “GTA 6 Pre Order (Physical Game)” campaign running May 18-21, and Insider Gaming verified the emails are real. Zelda Ocarina of Time Remake leaked for Nintendo Switch 2?! The same insider who called Star Fox before Nintendo announced it also claimed Zelda the Ocarina of Time Remake is coming. Another leaker let out that it is being rebuilt from scratch and apparently in development since 2022, possibly with Monolith Soft, and rumored for a June Nintendo Direct reveal with a late 2026 launch. Apparently there’s also a brand new 2D Zelda quietly in the works at Grezzo, codenamed “Bernard” and the codename pattern (Richard = Link, Edward = Zelda) has fans convinced the next protagonist is finally Ganondorf. Nintendo just confirmed a global price increase for the Nintendo Switch 2. Starting September 1, 2026, the Switch 2 jumps from $449.99 to $499.99 in the US, with Canada, Europe, and Australia also getting hit. Japan is getting it worst - their price increase starts May 25, 2026, with Switch 2 going from ¥49,980 to ¥59,980. Valve just had one of the wildest hardware launches in recent memory. The brand new Steam Controller, their first major peripheral in years - went live yesterday at $99. Within 30 minutes, it was completely sold out. Within an hour, the entire Steam store was crashing under the weight of people trying to check out. Error messages everywhere.
