Sunday April 26 SARAH JAY + TREVOR MAHANEY + RANDALL MINICK + RACHEL WEAVER A collaboration that intersects Python Potions and Wormsign, drawing strands from so many other Denton projects. A dense weaving of synths and voices moving through potentially darker, ritual-inflected terrain. Doors 7:30pm Music 8pm $10-20 sliding scale RACHEL WEAVER + RANDALL MINICK Randall is a self-taught synthesist performing for over a decade in DFW in solo and group acts including Felt & Fur, Laughing Matter, Wave Swinger, Formless Ocean, J.R. Minick & Associates, and countless other collaborations. Rachel is a mixed-media artist and musician performing in DFW since 2016 in solo and group acts including blendways, Ruptured Implant, numerous collaborations, and multimedia community experiments. Python Potions is their project together, a slithering electronic duo born from murky depths of droning downtempos, Python Potions’ 2023 album Illustris emerged from the molten entanglements and murmuring entrails it was birthed from to re-form into visceral cosmologies and ethereal delusions exuding from the dungeons of body music ritual. Python Potions combines EBM, dark electro, modular synthesizers, sequencers, and found sounds to investigate our darkest secrets and deepest anxieties. The duo has performed in showcases and festivals at venues around the Denton-Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex including Dallas Ambient Music Nights, Polacon, and Thin Line Festival, and has opened for acts such as Blank Hellscape, Madeline Goldstein, Container, and Xeno & Oaklander. In 2023, they joined Memory Terminal Records and a growing catalog of sounds from subterranean subsystems. TREVOR MAHANEY + SARAH JAY Denton, Texas-based ambient noise artists. Together they form Wormsign, creating soundscapes based on the Dune mythos. They are also the members of the electronic beat-driven duo FOREVER FRIEND. TIEAETT Productions presents RUSTY SANTOS IN TEXAS celebrating the release of his new album ‘Psycho Horses’ 🌀🐎🤠 Rusty Santos’ solo music belongs to a different timeline, one where music moves at its own speed, and musicians stand out in contrast to their scene. Metaphysical lyrics and psych folk textures are at the heart of his sound, yet the mood is darker. His music layers acoustic guitar, synthesizer, and percussion through effect pedals, fuzzy electric bass, and guitar. The presentation of these elements marks a departure point. He performs in alternate tunings, utilizing frequencies that sound unfamiliar. Just announced! Denton TX Rusty Santos at Rubber Gloves w/ Python Potions , Saraza (Sinevil + Rick Eye) , and Joey Z performing SHEEP. Presented by TIEAETT Productions. Rusty Santos is a record producer and musician based in Los Angeles. He is known for producing, recording, mixing and/or mastering records like Animal Collective’s Sung Tongs and the reissue of Danse Manatee, Panda Bear’s Person Pitch, Born Ruffians’ Red, Yellow & Blue, Owen Pallett’s Heartland & In Conflict, DJ Rashad’s Welcome to the Chi, Dawn of Midi’s “Dysnomia”, and many more. As a musician, he usually mixes his voice and guitar playing with samples. So far Santos has released four solo records and formerly played in The Present.
