It’s already been 3 years since I started this at Nouvel Établissement… back then, I didn’t even know if this project would really work and was only doing this to be able to DJ with some friends at least once a month. Just a vision, a simple passion and a sound I really love... Jungle.
Since then, it’s grown into something i could never fully predicted. From those early nights to now, every session shaped by the people, the energy, and the music that kept calling us back.
Throughout this whole adventure, I crossed paths with so many incredible people in different venues, different rooms, different moments. From small, intimate sessions to packed-out nights, every space brought new faces, new energy, and real connections. What started as a simple idea turned into a network of people who share the same love for the sound and that’s what made all of this truly real.

Pyrotrich est un collectionneur et selecta vinyles de Montréal variant son style du Reggae Dub au Deep Dubstep en passant par le Stepper et le Dubwise. Sa fine sélection de vinyle et rare cuts (dubplate) est reconnue pour ses tracks énergétiques aux grosses basses lourdes, tout en gardant un élément Roots. À travers son rôle dans l'équipe de Bassix, Pyrotrich a pour but de vous faire vivre l'expérience Sound System complète.
Son expérience musicale débute au secondaire avec son rôle de guitariste, bassiste et claviériste au sein de son groupe Tribunal. À partir de l'été 2010, Pyrotrich intègre la scène de musique électronique, forgeant sa place dans la scène psychédélique underground avec ses sets de Forest Psytrance et PsyDub. En parallèle, l'idée de créer un sound system foisonne dans l'esprit de Pyrotrich et de son groupe d'amis. C'est ainsi que Bassix est née. Le Sound System iconique de la culture Montréalaise est fabriqué de toutes pièces et continue de grandir. Redirigeant son focus musical à la création d'une collection de vinyle Dub, Bass et Reggae, Pyrotrich est désormais 100% dédié à la culture Sound System.

Le jour de l'an sans 8 tubas ça ne compte pas. Pas le choix, on réunit la famille étendue Bassix avec le gros son et on rentre dans la nouvelle année avec 8h non-stop de grosse bass. Ça nous fait un grand plaisir d'accueillir comme invités spéciaux Aphotik, FlowHer et Kentsuji sur les platines. En renfort, de l'équipe Bassix, on vous sert des sets de Pyrotrich, LockOut, SasQ, Sequel et Wally! On se retrouve sur le dancefloor!

J'ai été invité par @pavillon_clubsocial à jouer ce jeudi au Session Pavillon de la SAT !
Pour cette session uniquement vinyls de 5h, on met la vibe DJ dancefloor de côté pour une séance Selectah reggae dans une expédition loungy de l'univers interstellaire et sub-océanique de la dub techno et un retours sur terre dans les racines et la jungle de béton du dubwise et de la dub.

Got invited by @pavillon_clubsocial to play this thursday for their Session at the SAT Pavilion restaurant.
For this 5h of vinyls , I will put the heavy dancefloor DJ vibe on the side for a reggae Selectah session. Get ready for a loungy excursion into the interstellar and suboceanic universe of Dub Techno, with a return to the earth between the roots of Dub and concrete jungle of Dubwise.

Bringing the babies out for the closing set of the dance. Mainly vinyl's exclusive and some classics. Expect heavy bass and dub driven dubstep with steppers and steppa to keep the energy high till the morning hours to finish the night with a more laidback dub and reggae vibe
