High Desert Test Sites, Nov - Dec 2025
During my time in the desert last fall I stripped down my practice
The way the desert strips
I found a rock that I kept returning to
A rock that had split, so clearly cracked in three and so perfectly would fit back together if someone would push them
Every day I hiked out to this rock with a bag of clay and a cloth to sit on, and not much else, to see what comes from this kind of practice
This rock itself will get an essay
About cracking, fissure, wholeness, returning, home
But this is what I made at the rock in three

We have a few spots left for our upcoming wheel sessions starting May 4

It was my birthday on Tuesday! Here is a tiniest peek at the magic that fills my life ~
This year was so special. This was a year where I fell deeply in love, I met artists and mentors whose teachings are a balm to my practice every day, I worked on collaborations with people I hugely admire, I hosted creative gatherings that make my heart flutter, I travelled for my art, I travelled for play, I remembered to let art and play become one, I returned to the desert for the second autumn in a row and will probably do the same next year and every year after, and my friends and my community continued to be my pillars who lift me up and root me to the core of who I am.
Thank you everyone who has touched me profoundly, I love you ♡

Thank you so much to this incredible community - so many folks have been the biggest supports - I couldn’t have done it without you. I can’t wait to open these doors and get muddy with you all!
Hi sweet friends, I haven’t been on here in a long while - the world is wild, I feel strange taking up space when so many other voices need to be heard. But, I’ve committed myself to my ceramic practice, this is what I’m (trying to!!) do full time, and it’s been reflected to me that I need to get on here to share my art.
This week has been big so maybe now’s as good a time as any to say hi. Tomorrow I’m signing a lease to a studio space downtown where I can’t wait to play with any of youu wanting to get your hands dirty with clay. Saturday I have my first little art show opening, and it also happens to be my birthday, woof!🦥
I absolutely couldn’t have done this without my people holding me and lifting me up and telling me that art is a real way to live on this crazy & beautiful planet.
How did I get so lucky
A heads up I’m going to change my name here to Pyre Studio, which is what I’m calling my baby business. I think she’s growing up a little with me this year. Here is me committing to share more of what I’m up to with these magical materials and how we keep shaping each other.
