In Exile: Community Exhibition Programme! Commemorating 78 Years of the Ongoing Nakba 🇵🇸🗝️ In Exile is a community exhibition tracing histories of Arab and Palestinian migration, displacement, and community-building in Britain as a product of Zionism as imperialism in the region. Developed through collective research and conversations with the Arab community in Britain, the exhibition brings together maps, timelines, cyanotypes (sun prints), archival material, and workshops exploring memory, movement, and resistance. Taking place over Nakba weekend, the programme includes a community panel with Arab organisers, children’s activities, an interactive mapping workshop and the Arab Youth Bloc at the National Demo on Saturday. Reflecting on over 78 years of ongoing dispossession, fragmentation and resistance the exhibition affirms our commitment to unity, liberation, and return. At a time when Britain continues to support violence abroad while intensifying anti-migrant policies and border regimes at home, In Exile insists on the connections between imperialism overseas and the hostile environment here in Britain. Join us this weekend 15-17 May at Metrolands Studios, Kilburn!

‎وحدة عربية في مواجهة الصهيونية UNITY. LIBERATION. RETURN. Our presence on the streets is the physical manifestation of our refusal to be divided. Following our communal preparation, we invite you to join the Palestinian Youth Movement bloc for the Nakba 78 national march. BLOC DETAILS 🗓 Saturday 16th May ⏰ Assemble: 11:00AM 📍 Meeting Point: Great Exhibition Memorial, SW7 2BB 🚩 Look for the PYM banners While the Zionist entity and its imperialist backers attempt to fracture our regional identity and isolate the diaspora, we show up as a unified front. Our bloc is a space of Arab unity and revolutionary commitment - a refusal to let colonial borders dictate the strength of our struggle. The Nakba is ongoing, but our resistance is tireless. We move from the spaces where we organise to the streets where we confront this reality, proving that despite every attempt to fragment us, all roads lead to Palestine. ‎كل الطرق تؤدي إلى فلسطين Until Return and Liberation ✊🏽🇵🇸

Seventy eight years ago, beneath the shade of kharoob, fig, and olive trees, the village of al-Qastal stood watch over the western entrance to al-Quds. One morning, Zionist forces attacked al-Qastal, expelling Palestinians and sealing the village behind the coils of barbed wire. At the same time, Abd al-Qadir al-Husseini, commander of Palestinian guerrilla forces, was in Damascus to procure Arab military support against Zionist encroachment upon Palestinian land. Arab leadership rejected his petition. Upon hearing the news of al-Qastal’s fall, al-Husseini issued an urgent but simple order to the protectors of al-Quds: “Reoccupy al-Qastal, al-Qastal is Jerusalem.” He hastened back to Palestine, armed only with personal weapons and a heightened resolve. Under the cover of the night, Palestinian forces heeded al-Husseini’s call and advanced to reclaim al-Qastal. The Battle of al-Qastal remains an iconic story in Palestinian history. In ordering the fighters to remain and defend the village, and in returning from Damascus to Jerusalem, Abd al-Qadir al-Husseini rejected the victimhood, quietism, and defeatism of Arab leaders who denied his petition for military support. Confronting Zionist forces, al-Husseini and his forces successfully drove the occupiers out of al-Qastal and returned the village to its people.

The election is over - but our work is not over. Our struggle connects Palestine to the fight against imperialism, racism, austerity, and exploitation everywhere. This election proved that our movement cannot be ignored. Grassroots campaigners will continue holding pledged candidates accountable and demanding full divestment from companies complicit in genocide, occupation, and apartheid. The people power built through this election will continue far beyond it - in every campaign, every community, and every election to come. Until full divestment. Until liberation. Free Palestine.

How do we understand imperialism as a global system with military, economic, and cultural dimensions? And what does it mean to be an effective anti-imperialist in 2026? In this session, speakers will trace western imperialism’s historical roots, ongoing manifestations, and Britain’s entanglement within it. We’ll look at how the US and its allies are deploying imperial tactics - trade agreements, sanctions, debt, coups, cultural hegemony & more - in order to cling on to waning global power, and we’ll explore what anti-imperialist organising looks like at a local, national and international level. Last few tickets remaining at the link in our bio 🔗
