“Please Don’t Cry” the fourth studio album by

This is a very big one for me, so bare with me on the long post. I very vividly remember when one of my best friends in the world reached out to me in the midst of the 2020 pandemic about working on a deeply personal and very emotional record that she plans to put out in the world. From the very first time I heard the title, I knew we had something incredibly special on our hands and with every step we took through the process, that feeling manifested itself further and further. The more we exchanged ideas, thoughts and opinions as we went along, the more our relationship and friendship grew and we became interchangeable parts within our lives. Each day we would talk, we would share millions of drafts and mockups, we would share feelings and experiences, we would laugh together and ultimately we would cry together. Fuck man, during the process of this project coming to life, I have become a father of two beautiful boys and they have gotten to know my friend and call her “Auntie Rap” and have even had a finger in some of the work we’ve put together.Now, 4 years later my kids have grown exponentially, our bond has become as strong as one can be, and I have grown just as much, both as a human and as a creative. Ultimately, I can’t express in words how much this album, this experience and this journey has meant and will always mean to me. I am forever ever grateful to call you a friend, a role model and to have you in my corner, no matter what the circumstances are. I am truly humbled to be able to play even a tiny role in your life story. I love you so very deeply my friend. I love this album just as much and I am twice as excited for the world to see you and your craft in a light they’ve never had the chance to do before. Thank you for the trust, the support, the inspiration, the long talks, the laughs, the memories, the honesty, the advices, the memes, the billions of gifs, and most of all, for being you. This is just the beginning of the most beautiful chapter. Please don’t cry… but if you do… Laugh till you cry.
