Happy International Labor Day, or as we call it in my part of the world Happy May Day!
Besides honoring the hard earned labor rights, today is also an ancient celebration of the beginning of summer!
The month of May is named after the Greek goddess Maia (goddess of growth and fertility), linking the day to fertility rituals.
In Greece we make fresh flower wreaths and hung them in our doors as a welcome to nature’s fertility!
We also spent the day in the country side, eating, drinking, dancing, flying kites and picking up flowers! This day’s special flower is the yellow 🌼 which because of this tradition we’ve come to simply call “May”.
This beautiful image felt very fitting to me as a May Day puzzle! From the floral arrangements to the beautiful colorful decoration and the lazy nappy dog, everything is ideal for a May Day diner date!

Unpopular opinon: I am so tired of overly polished digital images. Give me the imperfections & human touch. Give me puzzles with images created with physical materials. Give me digital art that is not overly saturated & tweaked to perfection.
I absolutely love how you can see the variations in saturation of paint in this image. And the patterns! There's some symmetry (my nemesis) but variations within the symmetry. It's just so good.
Puzzle Weekend really knows what they are doing with their in-house brand. Glare-free silky pieces that have a perfect fit.
For me, a perfect fit is tight enough to move sections but not so tight it takes time to take the puzzle apart.
Also, check out the cute zippered pouch for the pieces. Absolutely worth every penny.

Absolutely incredible from start to finish.
I have really been loving the new puzzles coming out from @puzzle.weekend . They have phenomenal artwork by ACTUAL artists. The cut is perfection - zero false fits and stays together for moving sections, yet easily comes apart to rebox. And the quality itself is exceptional.
With the matte finish, all of their puzzles are easy to piece together at night. There’s zero glare. And the colors are SO vibrant! I actually had fun placing every single piece.
The artwork on this one was so my style. I love a curated shelf, filled with odds and ends. And book covers are always a fun puzzle topic! The plants and flowers fit so easily together - all those fun leaves! And I am OBSESSED with all the patterns that artists @slowlivedart wove into this one. I absolutely adore anything she creates!!!
