I had the opportunity to experience a moment at the Exhibition ‘Calligraphic Abstraction’, at Bangkok Kunsthalle.
I believe many of you have been there before.
Honestly, during that time, it didn‘t feel like I was taking photographs,
but rather learning what it takes to ”care for a piece of art.“
I have to thank the team at RSF for helping me understand that, haha.
I saw small details that we sometimes don’t notice – the smell of glue, old stains, canvas, fingerprints, traces of the artist‘s body.
I got to talk to the people who actually worked there.
And I was in the atmosphere of the restoration process.
And this…is what I want many people to feel through these pictures.

About a year ago, I had the opportunity to photograph the work of Siriwan Simingam and Nalattaphorn Nanta at their exhibition ‘Poetics of Horizontality’. Seeing the old warehouse space, filled with traces of time, reinterpreted through their work ‘Poetics of Horizontality’ made me feel like I had removed a weary mask and reconnected with simplicity. It was a deeply moving and gentle feeling.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t there until the end of the exhibition. 🥹🥹
