Working with Zak over the past year has been incredibly important to us in bringing this collection to life and capturing who he is beyond football.
What stood out most as we got to know him was his down-to-earth, easygoing nature. A big part of that is his connection with his mates. Through observing Zak & his group of mates you could feel the care, the connection, and the genuine bond they share.
What Zak has with his friends is something special. It’s refreshing and grounding to see especially knowing everyone in these images are his childhood mates from Bacchus Marsh.
Spending time with them, observing their connection, energy, and childlike banter, felt real in the best way. That honesty is what made capturing these moments so raw, authentic, and relatable.
