Stillbirth isn’t a parent’s fault — it’s a system failure.
💔 Over 21,000 babies are born still in the U.S. each year — and many of these deaths could have been prevented.
But parents should never carry guilt for what they weren’t taught, weren’t provided, or could simply never control.
Providers must be educated and empowered to teach patients how to track fetal movement and act urgently when something feels off. AND prenatal care must do more to identify babies at-risk BEFORE distress begins.

Every day in the U.S., 65 babies are stillborn—even after “healthy” or “low risk” pregnancies. 💔
🎬 Our short film “PUSH” reveals the devastating difference between dismissed concerns about fetal movement & the happy #SafeArrival that’s possible when parents receive the proactive care they deserve.
This October, Pregnancy + Infant Loss Awareness Month, we honor all our babies gone too soon by relentlessly fighting to prevent other families from experiencing this heartbreak.
🤰🏽 Expectant parents: watch this film—it could save a life!
💙 Loss parents: share your baby’s name in the comments. They are our reason & will never be forgotten.

Preeclampsia rates are on the rise in the US and are a leading cause of maternal and infant illness and death.
All women need to know the risk factors for developing high blood pressure during pregnancy - and that you can also have no risk factors, but still may develop it.

Our babies died but others don’t have to… if they pass the #BUMPAct! 💛
Hoping the NC legislators who received a yellow rose & heard our stories remember us.
We held this advocacy day just after Bereaved Mother’s Day & before Mother’s Day. That was intentional bc we want more moms to be able to celebrated on Mother’s Day, not grieving the weekend before like we do. 💔💐
🆘 In NC? Help us by sending a quick message. As their constituent your legislators will listen to you!: bit.ly/SupportNCBUMP
Thank you Senator Natalie Murdock for championing this cause. Your tenacity & passion for improving maternal-infant health outcomes gives us hope that our state will do better for our families.
Every baby is worth fighting for.
Will you help make sure mothers get the care & fetal movement education they need to get their babies here safely??
It does not have to be this way. There are solutions that can save lives today.
The BUMP Act will help to ensure that expectant parents have the education they need to help ensure they have a positive birth outcome.

Part 2: What to do! If your patient experienced a stillbirth, be tactful when discussing the next steps.
This is a situation that requires extreme empathy & cannot be rushed. (Note: You may not be the right person to deliver this information). Remember finding out the cause of death is crucial for your patients’ healing journey, including to plan for future pregnancies if they decide to have another baby. AND it can help improve the care you give your next family! So please do everything possible to help them find answers.

Pass this video along & help us end preventable stillbirth! 💛 Tag someone who you know cares & will take 1 min. to message their legislators too.
Part 1: What NOT to do! After a stillbirth, parents are in complete shock & need the gentle guidance of their care team through the process of evaluating why this happened.

“Why did this happen?” is the question every family asks after stillbirth, & too often, they never get an answer. 💔
Join us for a candid conversation LIVE on our Facebook, YouTube & LinkedIn pages with Dr. Emmie Strassberg, DO, FACOOG as she walks us through the why behind stillbirth evaluation: what tests matter, what answers are possible, & how finding a cause can offer families both closure & a clearer path forward.
Whether you’re a patient navigating pregnancy after loss or a provider supporting them, this conversation is for you.
Dr. Strassberg also shares how she’s reimagining PAL care through her telemedicine practice & community program, Building Hope After Loss — because better answers lead to better outcomes, & no family should walk this road alone.
Reminder if you’re a provider & want to learn more, you can take PUSH’s self-paced, accredited courses now at pushpregnancy.thinkific.com for both Stillbirth Prevention & PAL Trauma Informed Care.
