FACES OF THE HERD 🗣️🗣️🗣️
Meet Ben! (
@benkunzle ) Born in Paraguay, raised in Weston, and proudly rooted in Miami for the past decade. Ben is a powerhouse in every sense: a realtor, a wheelchair rugby athlete, a leader in adaptive sports, and the founder of the Push On Foundation
@pushonfoundation . He even launched South Florida’s wheelchair rugby team with the Wounded Warriors Abilities Ranch 💪🏼
Ben has been with the Herd since the very first week, and his connection to this community runs deep. He showed up thanks to his sister Giuli, who knew Kevin and Ivan from high school, but what made him stay was something bigger. From that first Thursday, he felt the spark of what the Herd could become. Over time, his partnership with Push On Foundation helped build an entire lane of inclusivity within our crew, welcoming adaptive athletes to join us every week. His presence didn’t just add to the Herd.. it helped shape the Herd
One of the most powerful moments in Ben’s journey was pushing his wheelchair through his first half marathon. It wasn’t just about distance or speed, it was about proving to himself that strength can grow in the spaces where others only see limitations. That moment showed him not only what he was capable of, but what so many others can achieve when given community, support, and a chance!
To Ben, the Herd is joy, connection, and belonging. “It’s a fun way for me to get active, make friends, and build community,” he says. His goals right now reflect the heart of who he is: striving to make Team USA for wheelchair rugby while continuing to grow adaptive sports across South Florida. He’s building a world where movement is accessible, where community is shared, and where everyone, no matter their journey, has a place.
We’re endlessly grateful for the leader, friend, and light Ben is within the Herd. His strength, compassion, and vision make this community better in every way. We’re proud to run alongside him, grow with him, and support him 🗣️🗣️
