Our little Baby Bear turned 1 on Halloween 🎃 & this Momma Bear has been on an emotional rollercoaster over the past few weeks leading up to her birthday… I know the saying is “the nights are long, and the years are short” but this year went by TOO fast!! Where did my little baby go??!!? 😭

Watching you grow has cracked open a soft spot in me that I never knew I had, while simultaneously lighting a fire in me that would burn down buildings just to keep you safe. It’s crazy the way that both your smile & your tears make me move mountains for you.
Our cuddles are the best part of every day. I’m so proud of the happy, strong, confident, curious, friendly, foodie that you’re already becoming & I am so lucky to be your Ma-ma-ma-ma-ma!!

Velvet Rae, it’s been *almost* 11 months of having you by my side & while some days are easier than others, I can’t imagine my life without you here. You’re growing so fast, making little friends everywhere we go & I’m just trying to stay present through it all. 🥹
You have already taught me to slow down in ways that nobody else could. You taught me to redefine success, to literally stop and smell the roses, as well as how to do almost everything with one hand! 😅
I love everything about our days together, from our morning walks, to late night nursing sessions, plus all of the messes, laughs and cuddles in between. I’m sooo lucky to be able to watch you learn & grow! 💗

Meet Velvet Rae - our Halloween princess that made her debut two weeks early on 10/31 weighing 8lbs 14ozs 🥹
She gave us a little scare the week before & then had her momma walking around the city not realizing those cramps were actually contractions for two days before she finally had us rushing to the hospital early on Halloween morning. 😅
I’m so impressed with my body that has been pushed to new limits physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually. I’m going into this chapter feeling a whole new level of strength & confidence in my self! 💪🏼
I’m also beyond grateful for my husband who has been the best support imaginable through this journey! I couldn’t have asked for a more amazing partner in both living life & giving life than you @the_only_mike.h 😘
Our little Velly is perfect & so loved already! I’m looking forward to guiding her through this crazy world & can’t wait to introduce her to all of her aunties/uncles/family that are standing by to shower her in even more love! 💗
