Artist Care is not a luxury that is only required for superstars. It should be the standard for every artist, no matter their status or gender. After our last two panel talks, one thing became clear: improving Artist Care is one of the most practical and direct ways to strengthen conditions for FLINTA* artists as well as creating a healthier scene for everyone. We also keep noticing that compared to Berlin, the topic is still often undervalued in Vienna and overlooked by bigger clubs/promoters, probably to save expenses. But considering the challenges FLINTA* folks are dealing with these days, Artist Care shouldn’t be optional. We recently learned that even DJs have had their drinks spiked while playing. It cannot be expected that artists constantly watch their own drinks while performing at the same time. Respect, clear communication and safer environments matter. Last week we came together to celebrate 5 years of push and talk about the challenges of FLINTA* artists and projects from Vienna and beyond. We want to thank all of you for joining and reflecting. Important conversations sparked and soon it was clear: Artist Care and Artist Riders could help to drive change. Special thanks to our speakers to present your amazing projects. All of you are investing a lot of time and heart in the fight for diversity. Caniche✨ Berlin-based DJ, producer and co-founder of PUSH Network Blazing through clubs across Europe - and earlier this year, North America as well - Caniche is fast becoming a defining force in contemporary Hardgroove Techno. Her sets blend percussive textures with rap-infused vocals. Funk-heavy rhythms meet tribal elements - all grounded in old-school drums. But her signature style doesn’t stop at the booth: As a producer, Caniche channels that same driving energy into her tracks, released on renowned labels such as RAW, GRÜV, Twice Infinity, and soon, BCCO. Her debut EP, released in 2024, featured remixes by ISAIAH and CULT - adding further weight to her growing discography. On stage, she’s known for igniting floors at Berlin institutions like Tresor and RSO, while also making waves at standout clubs across Europe, including Kalt (Strasbourg), Mondo Disko (Madrid), and Grelle Forelle (Vienna). A tour through India is next on the horizon - expanding her reach even further. Off stage, Caniche co-leads the PUSH Network, curating events at both Tresor and Grelle Forelle under its banner. PUSH is dedicated to amplifying FLINTA voices in electronic music, advocating for visibility, equity, and long-term change. More than just a platform, it’s a growing movement - and Caniche stands at its heart. Within the last 5 years, we closely monitored the gender representation in Vienna's club programs. With a vast majority of cis men in the lineup, a monotonous picture emerges. On a positive note, we've been also seeing the independent mobilization of FLINTA* individuals within organizations similar to the push Network. All these initiatives share the goal of increasing diversity in event programs. At the same time, they aim to create safer spaces for FLINTA* audiences. We are inviting all FLINTA* collectives from near and far to join, network and discuss about the situation and specific challenges of FLINTA* artists in Vienna and beyond. --

Mischa Beton Since founding the widely known push Network in 2020, Vienna based DJ Mischa Beton is connecting FLINTA DJs across Europe and fights for gender equity in the Techno music industry. Mischa Beton is passionate about mixing intense tracks at a high level of speed, regularly burning the dancefloors of eminent Clubs such as Grelle Forelle Vienna or legendary Tresor Berlin, where push holds a residency since 2023. The selection demands full attention, both when mixing and raving. Raw sound meets fine nuances, she renounces rigid genre fixation. How FLINTA* Artists shape our Clubculture On Saturday, April 11th, we’re hosting a panel discussion on clubculture, visibility, and the urgency for change.
