You truly give everything to grow this baby.
Your body shifts and stretches in ways you never imagined making room for your baby. Your heart is working harder, your blood volume increasing, and your strength being poured out daily.

Honestly, I sometimes struggle with this. Yet I have learned that no matter how positive the intent, so many people will have have versions of who they want you to be and how they want you to move that are destructive ultimately because it’s not what God has called you to.
Let’s make it practical! How many African or Caribbean kids found themselves being pre-med, pre-law, or in engineering in college because your parents said those are the ways to be successful, only to be failing those classes because you had no desire to pursue that field! Then, ultimately end up changing your major in the end to be in a different field and graduating later 😂😂👀!
There’s who your parents want you to be, the friend that your friendships want you to be, the person your significant other feels like they need you to be. There’s the person your PHD program, dental school or that internship wants you to be before they accept you into their programs. There’s the person that social media makes you feel like you have to be because of your age or what others are doing that you went to went to school with!
All my these expectations can be a lot of pressure to fulfill. These expectations can lead to such stress, stress to achieve things that God NEVER desired for you. It can get tiring attempting to be everything that everyone wants you be and yet be unfulfilled because in doing so you’ve missed God’s purpose for you.
So today I just want to encourage anyone buckling under the weight of other’s expectations of you, that you don’t have to be anyone other than who God called you to be. Freeing yourself from the shackling mindsets of people pleasing isn’t easy, but it’s necessary. What will it be to gain the whole world’s approval and lose your soul in doing so ?
May God grant us the grace. 🙏🏿😊 May we have the Holy spirit to discern which way we are supposed to go and what we are supposed to do!

✨ I’ve come to learn what a difference perspective makes in our life. We look at situations so negatively, because we see the timing as off, disturbing, annoying, inconvenient, and simply put—BAD TIMING. If you view something as bad timing, then nothing surrounding the opportunity will ever be good enough, be pleasant, meaningful, or good. Once we have decided it is bad timing, we write everything off! I’ve been there, done that and felt like that before!
✨I mean have you ever:
- Payed off all your debt, rebuilt your savings and then here comes this unexpected huge emergency you have to pay for!
-Just gotten into the relationship of a lifetime, and you land your dream job on the opposite side of the country!
Or can you imagine the mother who
just got offered a promotion that will take more commitment, long hours, coming into the office, and then you find out you’re pregnant with another children.
✨Your emotions about the matter are real. But the reality is, God’s timing is perfect, even though in our limited scope of understanding, it might be bad timing. I promise you from experience that if you trust in God’s Timing and process, one day you will have that “Ah ha!” Moment! That moment when everything makes more sense and in fact that what seemed like bad timing becomes one of the biggest blessings you’ve experienced to date. Until then, stay encouraged and keep the faith and know that I will be praying for you! 💕

For me, in my freshman year in college, there was a seminar class for freshman called “How the brain created God” that talked about God and if He exists. Two of my friends were in the class and one of the ladies would tell me how the second friend, Adanna, would always quote scripture and stand up for her faith even against the teacher or any of their classmates.
In that moment, I was inspired! At 17, I loved God, I was born in the church, but I didn’t spend a lot of dedicated time in my Bible. I thought to myself, well I wish I too knew my Bible enough to pull out scriptures from memory and not have to hop on google 😂 to successfully stand up for God when given an opportunity, instead of “embarrassing” myself because I couldn’t say more than I disagree with someone but have no biblical text to voice.
That gave me the desire to get a deeper understanding of the Bible to help grow the faith I have in my faith and not be swayed by others opinions. It set a fire in me to better defend my faith and bring people to the knowledge of God by sharing the good news and not being ashamed of the Gospel. So, yes, there has been moments I didn’t stand up for my faith, but as I get older I pray for the continued courage to do so. I also pray for the grace to be obedient to the Holy Spirit’s promptings as He leads me.

Have you ever thought, “I know God can do ANYTHING and If God loved me, He could have stopped this terrible thing from happening to me?”
I have felt like that many times in my walk with God! I’ll never claim to be a perfect Christian, but will acknowledge I continuously grow in my understanding of God and receive insight on the Christian walk!
What I’ve learned in response to that question above👆🏾 :
God is sovereign and He can choose to allow or disallow any trials we face! I was the sickest I had EVER been in my LIFE, and for what ?!!? That’s all I could think! And the day before an important responsibility?!!? GOD, why are you Not coming through is how I REALLY FELT!
But….I’ve learned the allowance of trials, doesn’t mean God doesn’t love you or that you aren’t a child He values enough to circumvent the stress of *insert any difficulty you can relate to*.
💕: God is His infinite wisdom knows the end from the beginning! In HIS SOVEREIGNTY, GOD KNOWS WHY HE ALLOWS TRIALS TO OCCUR. HE KNOWS THE FINE TUNING IT DID FOR ME and how that fine tuning will prepare me for the Great purpose He has for me! Chileeee, you can’t tell me my purpose isn’t great! And the best part: the same is true for you!
✅😉Share with your loved ones to encourage them of Gods love for them despite challenges they’re facing!

You shouldn’t have received that promotion or that job, because other people that applied had more experience than you! It’s not because you are lucky. It is not a result of anything you have done, but it is an account of Gods grace! You got through it, you have it, and you are receiving it because God loves you enough to give it you! Don’t act like you don’t know the source; God is the source!

💙When Job found himself in times of trouble and couldn’t figure out why, his friends told him that he must have done something to offend God and as a result God was punishing him. His friends tried to serve as a mouthpiece of God’s thoughts and plans and they were wrong.
💙Job went from being the richest man, to losing his wealth, all his kids been killed on the same day, boils and sickness riddling his body, and his own wife, telling him to curse God and die”. But Job, knew who he was and the life that he lived.
💙The idea that God was punishing Job was far from truth. In fact, it was because God knew Job to be faithful to Him and be content despite circumstances that God allowed Satan to even touch the life of Job . God knew that Job would not curse Him when things got tough. (side message: everything in your life is God filtered, the enemy has to get permission to even touch someone that’s truly walking with God and God will only permit what He wants to use to strengthen you and show His glory).
💙Ultimately, God replaced all that Job had lost with TWICE as much. Then, to Job’s friends, “the Lord had spoken these words to Job, that the Lord said to Eliphaz the Temanite, “My wrath is aroused against you and your two friends, for you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has. Now therefore, take for yourselves seven bulls and seven rams, go to My servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and My servant Job shall pray for you. For I will accept him, lest I deal with you according to your folly; because you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has.” ~Job 42:7-8 NKJV
💙God hated that Jobs friends tried to speak incorrectly for God. The funniest part is because of their doing, God had them offer burnt offerings and had Job pray for them because God would only accept from Job. Imagine the same person they claimed God detested and was punishing, is the person who God would listen to on their behalf, that they may be forgiven for their folly! The Bible is an amazing truth. I pray we did in to Gods words and learn the relevant word that remains alive today.

Regardless of what the verdict is on your life, know that your faith of today can ALWAYS change the TRAJECTORY of your tomorrow! I don’t know if any one you all are waiting for something to occur in your life that almost seems impossible to happen. I mean statistics tell you it’s not possible, your professors have told you that should not try, your friends are tired of you waiting on that response, your parents are advising you to take a different route. ALL IM saying is that Faith is the key to unlocking God’s power in your life and true faith will never be in vain.

I pray that you will not just have the faith of a mustard seed, but that you will have astronomical faith. Faith that moves God to ensure the universe to align in your favor, faith that ensures that what you need will begin to happen. We see time and time again in the Word Jesus saying “Go, for your faith has made you whole!” May your faith make you whole, may your faith trigger God’s provision, may your faith allow you to tap into the freedom and forgiveness Jesus awarded us!

🙏🏿: Father God, I have nowhere else or anyone else that I can turn to make the impossible become possible in my life. Lord, I take this opportunity to cast my burdens onto you and to trust in you. Help me to deal with my unbelief, for it is not a reaction I want to have to circumstances I face. In times of need, let doubt vanish from my fingertips and instead may my faith be activated. Lord, may I grow my relationship with you and know you so well that I may believe all you have said and all that you can do. May nothing be able to shake my faith; instead may I be steadfast in my pursuit of you and confident in your grace that will overshadows me. Amen!
