Recap of our adventure with @puronz 🌿
A pretty incredible setup with a really inspiring business story behind it. 20 minute mini podcast dropping next week.
Last Friday Bayleys brought together Puro New Zealand and Te Rūnanga o Kaikōura for an engaging evening discussion on cannabis, industry growth, and what lies ahead for our region.
It was a fantastic event. We thoroughly enjoyed connecting with our local community in Kaikōura and witnessing the incredible support for our industry and our partnership with Iwi.
Be sure to check out the latest edition of Bayleys Country Magazine released today, which features a story on Puro. Link in Bio.
A big thank you to Kaikōura District Council, Te Rūnanga o Kaikōura and Bayleys for their continued support.
At Puro NZ we take great pride in maintaining transparency, which is why we recently invited suppliers, friends, and members of the local community to visit our facilities and fields.
It was a fantastic opportunity to offer an insider’s view of our daily operations including our cultivation and drying processes.
Thank you to all of our fabulous guests who joined us and got to see our beautiful plants thriving under another stunning Marlborough sunshine filled day!
Check the latest website article how Puro NZ emphasises sustainability as part of our operations. We are focussed on organic outdoor cultivation to maximise product quality while minimising our environmental footprint.
Our approach includes companion planting to naturally control pests, cover crops to rebuild soil health, and permaculture-based water and land management to protect ecosystems.
All of our efforts aim to maintain biodiversity, enhance long-term soil fertility, and ensure environmentally responsible, regenerative farming for future generations.

An incredible day in #MarlboroughNZ bringing together scientists, partners, and industry leaders to showcase how we’re cultivating #organic cannabis into truly world-class #medicines.
This is more than #organiccultivation — it’s collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitment to putting New Zealand cannabis on the global stage.
Our Puro NZ Strategic Partner Forum / Field day held at the end of last week was an incredibly special event. On behalf of the Puro NZ team, we would like to say an enormous thank you to all our guests who travelled from various regions around the world to join us for a fabulous and constructive day. Our official videos will be released shortly; in the meantime, we invite you to enjoy a selection of photographs featuring our wonderful friends and partners in the field.
Live Drying is a major breakthrough in cannabis processing; combining traditional artisanal practices with pharmaceutical-grade technology.
Puro’s seven-stage process stabilises the plant immediately at harvest through flash freezing, cryo-processing, freeze drying, careful hand trimming to finish and a controlled cure, preserving a fuller profile of cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids.
By controlling moisture removal and reducing chlorophyll harshness, live drying captures the plant’s chemical complexity exactly as it exists on harvest day, avoiding degradation caused by lengthy traditional drying and curing.
This method delivers faster and more consistent processing while allowing products to be packaged on demand. Providing fresher cannabis for patients. The end result is a smoother and more comfortable experience with stronger aromas and better retention of the plant’s natural character. Beyond efficiency live drying is framed as a way to respect the plant’s integrity and deliver its full spectrum of benefits to medical cannabis patients worldwide.
