Purlates (@purlates ) is not your average fitness class, and that is entirely the point. ๐ฑ
Founded by certified Pilates instructor and dedicated kitten foster mom Darly Murray (@darlymurray ), Purlates brings together full-body Pilates and adoptable rescue kittens in one sold-out experience that somehow manages to be both a serious workout and the most wholesome hour of your week. Over three years of fostering, Darly has personally cared for and helped rehome over 40 kittens, and that firsthand experience in animal welfare shapes everything about how these classes run.
The impact behind the concept is just as compelling as the idea itself. A portion of every ticket goes directly to local rescue partners, and each class actively socializes kittens, helping them build trust with humans and improving their chances of adoption. ๐พ To date, Purlates has donated over $7,000 to rescue organizations and helped place 58 kittens into forever homes with 63 additional foster placements. ๐ช Pop-ups have been selling out across New York City and Los Angeles, and new cities are on the way.
