So i dug up an old drum circle-y jam from a couple years back and layered it with as much sound as it would hold. It’s pretty obvious what this one’s about. There’s probably more to say but i’ll let the song do the talking for now. Suffice to say i think the culture jamming practice is long overdue for a renaissance in our current moment, and we’ve all got to do our part. it is like a finger pointing a way to the moon. don’t concentrate on the finger, or you’ll miss all that heavenly glory.

hi. i have 3 pieces of merch on the pure mothman bandcamp now. i never made a proper post about it on here so this is it. Jan Davis Dance Band is a little experiment based around the adage “all you need to start a band is to know 3 guitar chords”. just to cover my bases, i went ahead and learned about 7 or 8 guitar chords. the debut cassette tape includes 2 sets of covers, one of songs i consider folk adjacent and one of churchy songs, a reversible cover, credits leaflet, and a sticker. this music is not available on streaming and (probably) never will be. you can, however, stream it on the internet archive. last year there were 4ish releases which involved my direct creative input (not counting ones where i just played keys on em) and this year it’s just gonna be this one so tap in uhhhh there’s also a patch it comes in red and blue. it’s a jellyfish like the song and then the SHIRT that i talked about a couple months ago. you can see in the picture above australia’s own jackson baly wearing it on his podcast so consider that international endorsement. it references a pure mothman thing that you don’t get to know about yet. they run xs-xl (i ran outta 2xls) one last thing: i love to play shows so if there’s a show you’re booking that could really use a pure mothman in it please hit my line. thank you!
