We’ve watched scared moms learn safety, exhausted moms finally rest, and entire little families get the second chance they deserved. One of the biggest ways we help our mama dogs? By making sure they never have to go through it again. Every single dog in our care is spayed or neutered, helping break the heartbreaking cycle that lands so many homeless moms and puppies in shelters every year. We also support numerous community spay and neuter projects, so that we can help curb the over population crisis in our state. We need your help for two very special puppies 💔 Eggs Benedict (Bene) and Tofu Scramble (Tofu) are part of a group of five puppies we rescued from a shelter in 29 Palms, our very first time working with them. Because our foster wasn’t ready to take them for a week, the shelter went above and beyond to place the puppies in temporary foster homes to keep them safe until transport. We are so grateful for the effort and care that went into getting them to us. Tragically, based on the timing of parvo incubation, Bene and Tofu must have been exposed while in a temporary foster home. Just a few days after arriving to our foster, they started showing symptoms and quickly became very sick. Right now, both puppies are hospitalized and fighting hard. Bene is the more outgoing, silly one, while Tofu is shy, incredibly sweet, and happiest curled up for cuddles 🥺 Tofu is especially critical and could use all the love and good thoughts you can send. We are doing everything we can to give them a fighting chance. This veterinary team has performed miracles with parvo puppies before, and we believe in them, but we need your help to continue their care. Hospitalization for parvo is intensive and costly, and we want to keep them there as long as they need to recover. Some of these photos are from the few days at the foster home before they got sick - happy, chubby, playful, and full of life. That’s who they truly are; and that’s who we’re fighting to bring back. Meet Winnie 💛 Winnie is a 3–5 year old Shepherd/Husky mix who just wants to be part of your world. Rescued from the Carson shelter red list alongside her babies, this devoted mama has spent the last couple of months showing us just how special she is. From day one, it was clear Winnie wasn’t interested in being tucked away - she wanted to be right in the middle of everything, soaking up the love and quietly keeping an eye on her people. She’s incredibly sweet, mellow, and wonderful with kids, making her an easy, comforting presence in a home. Her favorite thing is to lay by the door, waiting for her human foster siblings to get home from school. Winnie is fully potty trained and does a great job letting you know when she needs to go out. While she can be a little unsure about being left alone, she’s already made great progress and continues to grow more confident each day. Because of this, she’d thrive in a home where someone is around often or can bring her along for life’s adventures. Winnie has been great with other dogs, but does feel safer with a calm intro. Meet Ariana Grrr-ande! ! She came to us by way of the Bakersfield shelter. along with her brother and sister (Ricky Barkin and Christina Wagulara). They are lovingly known as the “pup stars.” Ariana is a 4-5 month old shepherd/ pitty/husky super mutt. Ariana loves other dogs, and plays with them whenever she can! She is amazing with kids, and has done plenty of puppy parties. We haven’t had the opportunity to test her with cats, but we believe she’d be great with them (with a proper introduction). She loves toys, and all types of playing. She’s sweet and cuddly. We also have the feeling that Wicked is her favorite movie. Can’t be sure though..
