last week…I had the privilege of spending one week inside a state-of-the-art @noblestreetstudios alongside an extraordinary collective of producers and musicians. we were locked in for 10-hour days cooking up original music for the @redbullbcone soundtrack.
from growing up deeply rooted in B-Boy culture, studying breaks, dissecting funk records, and absorbing the energy of the battle tapes and mixtapes that raised us… to now contributing to the soundtrack of the world’s most prestigious breaking competition… as a battle DJ who started super young and eventually evolved into making beats, it’s truly a surreal full-circle moment.
this culture has profoundly shaped my ears, creativity, and entire musical philosophy.
