Over 2,000 runners participated in the finale of the "Run for Palestine" event in Copenhagen today, Sunday, 17.05.26
The "Run for Palestine 2026" event concluded today in Copenhagen, with around 2,000 runners taking part in the final stage of this year's edition.
The runners crossed the finish line at City Hall Square (Rådhuspladsen) in front of Copenhagen City Hall, where a large crowd gathered to welcome them.
The finale in Copenhagen marked the last day of the nationwide race, which since Thursday has brought together participants across several Danish cities.
This year marks the third time the "Run for Palestine" event has been organized. The proceeds from the race will go toward humanitarian work in Palestine, as well as supporting efforts related to Palestinian human rights through Amnesty International and ActionAid International.
Ditte Bloch, the host of the "Run for Palestine" event, said:
"It is deeply moving to see so many people gathered in Copenhagen. 'Run for Palestine' is more than just a race; it is about community, solidarity, and showing that Palestine is not forgotten."
