We’re back with our first Member Spotlight of May! This month, the Pullman Chamber is proud to highlight Spokane Falls Community College Pullman (SFCC), an accessible and flexible higher education option making a lasting impact here on the Palouse.
Operating in Pullman for 25 years, SFCC moved to its current WSU campus location in 2017. As part of Spokane Colleges, SFCC offers a wide range of programs, from GED prep and High School + completion programs to ESL and liberal arts courses, technical training and more, meeting students wherever they are in their educational journey.
Flexibility is key. Students can attend online or in person, with small class sizes (around 25 students) that allow for personalized support. As one student shared, “As a nontraditional student with three kids finishing an AA, I appreciated that it's open, you have the ability to choose online or in person.” Programs like Running Start allow high school students to earn college credit, or even an associate degree, before graduating.
SFCC is also an affordable pathway to higher education, with associate degrees around $4,300, about one-third the cost of many four-year universities. Free applications and financial aid help make it even more accessible.
Located on the WSU campus, SFCC Pullman students can access amenities like the Rec Center (excluding high school students), clubs and the food pantry, with many faculty teaching at both institutions and supporting transfer pathways.
Whether you’re starting college or changing careers, SFCC Pullman is here to help you take the next step. 🎓
