What an experience 💚 so much prep and planning went into it and like a flash it was over!
✨ Met some very wonderful people; fellow traders, customers and the lovely Country Living staff 🦆
💛 I spent four lovely days with my partner (we rarely get time together without the kids so that was amazing).
🍐My English Pear & Elderflower candle got voted one of the top picks by the Country Living editor 🦆💚 (don't think I'll ever get over that 😅)
🌿🌻 I got to spend four lovely days surrounded by plants and flowers 🌻🌿

✨🌿🌻 Hello! 🌻🌿✨
A bit of a random selection over the last few months, because I've not posted for A WHILE. Social media can be so difficult, especially as a small business and trying to post consistently when life is absolute CHAOS 🤪
There is a lot happening, I just haven't found the time to post about it. So much work goes into reels and taking good pics for insta and honestly, my house is just not aesthetically pleasing enough for any of that right now 😅
Life has been a lot recently - in good ways and bad ways. I love my babies and Puddle & Pepper, but trying to juggle a small business, markets, constant nursery illnesses + so much time off nursery, housework, keeping kids fed and happy and stimulated plus massage clients (outside of soap & candles I'm also a massage therapist) has proven to be a little too much for me. I made the decision last week to pause my massage practice, which was a little bit sad. On one hand I felt like I had failed my lovely clients, on the other hand it was a big weight off. Sometimes we need to remember that we're only human, it's okay to say when it gets too much and allow ourselves to take some of the weight off ❤️✨🌻
On the bright side 🌻 we've bought a house 🏡 with room for me to have a studio that isn't my kitchen! So excited. We'll be doing some studio renovations (super budget home renovations 🤣) so expect some DIY renovation reels.

getting ready for this has nearly ended me 🤣🫠 over the last few months I've been making soaps and candles at night (plus labelling and all the other admin bits) to work around the kids. It's been really, really hard. But, I'm really looking forward to the event (hopefully see some of you there 🥰)

Wow, what a year 🫧🧽🕯️
Struggling to find the right words 🤣 looking back at the beginning of the year and seeing how much has changed and evolved is just wow 😲
Puddle & Pepper started as a hobby to try and give myself something back that was just for me. I had two kids under two, we had just moved from North London and to be honest, life was a lot.
I loved making soap late at night 🫧 it gave me a distraction from every day life and a little bit of me back. Don't get me wrong, it hasn't been easy turning my little hobby into a business. I think I romanticised what having a business actually means (I didn't realise it was such hard work 🤣) but it's SO rewarding.
There's been many meltdowns this year, I've lost count of how many times I've told my partner I'm giving up because I can't do it. I'm lucky enough that he scoops me back up and reminds me how much I love my little business. Which I really do - I thought I'd list some of my highlights from 2025
✨market days and meeting wonderful people, making friends and having the best chats with other small business.
✨That amazing feeling every time an order comes in (doesn't get old 😁)
✨ Stocking four amazing shops with my products 😁
✨ Getting repeat wholesale orders (and still thinking omg they actually want MY PRODUCTS 😲)
✨ Becoming an official Country Living approved Artisan and joining their market place 🦆 plus I'll be doing an event with them in Malvern next year (I'll do a separate post about that 😁)
✨ My daughter picking up my soaps when I'm working and telling me they smell nice 🥹😩
✨ Last but not least.. developing my natural Scrub Bar range 🫧 they were such a game changer for me and I'm still in shock at how quicky they sell! 🫧✨
So, from the very bottom of my heart... THANK YOU ✨❤️ every order, every market customer, every fellow stall holder I've had chats with, everything wholesale customer. Thank you ✨❤️
