last week we spoke about awareness and accountability. on whom do we place the burden of awareness? how strongly should we hold one fellow cogent adults to account? and is this one of those things where those with no social awareness are ignorance is blissing?
why do we avoid depth? in conversation, in engagement, in ourselves? is it because it’s hard? revealing? boring? who do we feel comfortable opening up to and why is it sometimes entirely disconnected from closeness? spooky recent chats hahaha .. see you tonight for more of these!
last week we spoke about whether our jobs need to align with our morals. what do we politicise, is it better to be jobless or work in an “evil” industry, and at what point does necessity free us from these questions?
hello 2026! after a brief christmassy pause (yes we did have a holiday episode of pub philo, it was both joyous and grinchy) we are back on as of tonight! see you in mere hours
last week we had a lovely session on the idea of gatekeeping within faith and religion. is spiritual practice best kept separate and sacred, or is it enriched by numbers and openness. we spoke about the central principles of various major religious traditions and the effect they have, as well the notions of intention and corruption. lovely session and also - but unrelatedly - happy diwali to all! 💗
this summer we’ve taken a little break from IG but we’re back in the saddle now! we’ve been chatting about sin, persuasion, and the ethics of fighting for one’s country. more fun to come and autumn is my favourite season to hit the cabin in.
spoke last week about mediocrity. what that means, whether we want it, what it offers and what it obstructs! see you tonight back in the basement for more chinwags
sorry for essentially forgetting this ig existed for a moment!
what have we been speaking about? one of our chats was about the ordinary as opposed to the extraordinary — a good life, a great life, what we value, and how they might pull away from one another.
