With two days until I stand at the sacred Greater Mount Zion AME Church in Waycross, Georgia, I am prayerfully preparing not just a speech — but a message. This is not simply an appearance. It is an assignment. As an award-winning journalist, crisis communications expert, government executive, and author of Unmasked: How One Man Overcame Death with the Power of Family, Faith, and Forgiveness, I will speak to a congregation rooted in legacy, resilience, and faith. My message in part will center on: When crisis hits — whether personal, political, or public — faith is not passive. It is active. It is disciplined. It is strategic. In an age of misinformation, silence is not neutral. We must own our narrative before someone else defines it for us. My COVID hospitalization was not just survival — it was revelation. God preserved me for purpose. The question is not “Why did I live?” but “How will I serve?” Shout out to @geovarnj who is leading the opportunity for me to speak & share Unmasked

When our three-year-old son was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia, the world as we knew it collapsed. There were treatments in 1990. They were long. Painful. Arduous. Survival was not guaranteed. Small children do not fear death. They fear abandonment So we made one decision that governed everything: No matter what, he would not face this alone. Family reorganized. Careers shifted. Our beloved childminder, Gail, stayed close. And at night, when the house was quiet except for IV lines and fear, I began telling the stories. The MONKEY story comes from that time. It is about giving something of your own—not because it is easy, not because you have plenty, but because someone else needs it more. In MONKEY, Gail gives her talisman monkey to a little girl in the hospital. She knows she will need it herself soon. She gives it anyway. That story was not invented out of imagination alone. It was born out of proximity — out of watching people choose love over self-preservation. These stories were never meant to distract from fear. They were meant to steady it. We do not remove fear from children. We stay close to them while they meet it. That is #ReadTogether. If you’d like to enter the conversation, come join us. And if you want to try it for yourself, the MONKEY story is available to read free until March 31st. Link in bio. Read it together. See what happens. . . . #RandolphBSchiffer #BedtimeStories #ChildhoodResilience #StoriesThatMatter

I’m deeply honored to serve as a keynote speaker this Black History Month at Historic Greater Mt. Zion AME Church in Waycross, Georgia—a sacred place where my hero, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., once delivered remarks. Standing in a space where faith and courage once met the urgency of justice is both humbling and grounding. It reminds me that leadership is not about the spotlight, but about stewardship. Black History Month is more than remembrance; I believe it is a living call to action. It challenges us to serve with integrity, and lead with courage, and compassion—guided by faith and a responsibility to those who came before us and those who will come after. Dr. King’s legacy compels us not just to admire history, but to actively advance it through our daily work and witness. As we reflect on legacy, I’m reminded that how we honor history is through action today and committing ourselves to a future worthy of the sacrifices made for us. #BlackHistoryMonth #Leadership #FaithAndService

On February 10th, something rare happened in New York. At @bibliothequenyc , we didn’t simply launch a book. We held a conversation. Dr. 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗹𝗽𝗵 𝗕. 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿’s 𝘉𝘦𝘥𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘚𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘞𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘛𝘦𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘧𝘺 𝘊𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘯 took its place in the world the way it was meant to — not as spectacle, but as proximity. The room was full. The attention was steady. The dialogue was thoughtful. Libby Steele, LPCC-S (@gestaltcbus ) and Stephanie Stanz, LMHC-PP (@cognitiveresetcounseling ) joined the panel as guest experts, and they did what true professionals do: they deepened the conversation. They expanded the psychological frame without over-clinicalizing it. They helped translate literature into lived experience. Their presence elevated the evening. This book was born when Dr. Schiffer’s three-year-old son developed leukemia. Eight stories told night after night, not to comfort — but to steady. To give fear shape, language, and limits while an adult voice stayed close. Only one story, DOG, directly addresses childhood fear. The others examine what fear becomes inside love, sacrifice, science, power, aging, disappointment, and moral courage. The final story leaves space — a heuristic window into the reader’s own unconscious. And that is exactly what the evening became. A steady space. The structure held beautifully: – A focused introduction – A moderated conversation – A layered panel discussion – Audience questions that were direct and brave – A book signing that felt less transactional and more relational Wine and charcuterie were shared. Books were signed. Conversations lingered. This is what #ReadTogether looks like in real time — not as a slogan, but as a movement reframing shared reading as emotional resilience in a world that is not always kind. Grateful to our collaborators: @omerapress @bookstrofficial @publishizer 𝗕𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲 And to everyone who showed up ready to think rather than consume. The tour continues. If this conversation belongs in your city, we’re listening. . . . #LiteraryEvents #Parenting #BedtimeStories

We’re inviting you not simply to a book tour event, but into a live, guided conversation about childhood fear—and how it is held, shaped, and shared. When neurologist and psychiatrist Dr. Randolph B. Schiffer’s three-year-old son was diagnosed with leukemia, he told eight bedtime stories—night after night—to his son and his older brother throughout treatment. These stories were not designed to comfort or distract, but to steady: to give fear shape, language, and limits, while a trusted adult voice stayed close. Those stories became 𝘽𝙚𝙙𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝙎𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙏𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙒𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙏𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙞𝙛𝙮 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙣—a literary collection that explores fear, love, sacrifice, power, science, and moral courage. Only one story (DOG) directly addresses childhood fear; the others examine the fears embedded in living and loving, concluding with a final story that invites readers into their own unconscious reflection. The evening forms part of the growing #ReadTogether movement, which reframes shared reading as a powerful tool for emotional resilience in a world that is not always kind. Date: February 10, 2026 Time: 6:00–8:00 PM Location: Bibliothèque, New York You can purchase tickets from the link in my bio. @omerapress , in collaboration with @bookstrofficial and @publishizer , is hosting an intimate, book-centered evening at @bibliothequenyc in New York. This evening will explore questions such as: 👉 Why does protecting children from fear sometimes make fear stronger? 👉 What happens when fear is avoided rather than acknowledged? 👉 Why were these stories written without diagnosis, instruction, or clinical framing? 👉 What are “proximity stories”—and how do they change the experience of fear? 👉 How did children respond when fear was held within relationship instead of silence? 👉 What is the one thing parents most need to take away from these stories? This conversation is designed for: - Parents and caregivers - Therapists, clinicians, and trauma-informed professionals - Educators, librarians, and readers interested in childhood emotional development We invite you not just to attend—but to participate. Honored and grateful to share that I’ve been invited to appear on the red carpet at Podfest Expo 2026 alongside fellow Morgan James authors. I’ll be discussing the latest edition of my memoir, Unmasked—a project that is very close to my heart. The book is officially in production and scheduled for release later this fall. This journey—from survival to storytelling—continues to remind me that purpose often emerges from our most challenging seasons. Thankful for the opportunity to share this next chapter, connect with creators, and celebrate the power of stories that heal, inspire, and transform. More to come… 🎤📖✨#unmasked #authorlife #community #family #unmaskedovercomingdeath

When leaders you respect speak… you listen. I’m deeply grateful for the endorsements and early praise GROW has received. Not because of my name on the cover — but because of what this message can unlock in people’s lives. GROW isn’t just a book. It’s a roadmap for clarity, purpose, and intentional growth — especially in seasons where staying comfortable feels easier than growing. Every endorsement reminds me of this truth: 👉 Growth is personal, but it’s never meant to be walked alone. If this message resonates with you… If you’re ready to grow from the inside out… This is your moment to be part of it from the beginning. 🌱 Preorder and support GROW here: 👉 /grow/ Your support doesn’t just help publish a book. It helps fuel a movement of purpose-driven leaders. Thank you to everyone who has already believed, supported, and shared. We’re close — and every preorder truly matters. 🤍 #GROW #Leadership #PersonalGrowth #PurposeDriven #endorsement
