I spent most of my early 20s as a broke college student living in my childhood apartment. No savings. No assets. Just trying to figure life out.
I hated asking my parents for money just to get by. I applied to job after job and either got rejected or my class schedule didn’t work. Watching friends get jobs while I struggled was discouraging.
In January 2019 I made a YouTube banner for my first client… and by March I launched my business with $0 to my name.
Just me, my MacBook, and a vision.
A year later I got introduced to an industry that completely changed how I saw entrepreneurship and life. From 2021–2022 I was barely even in New York (if you know, you know).
After graduating, life hit. Financially and mentally. I closed a business chapter, worked freelance gigs and a part-time job, and used that time to rebuild myself.
Fixing my credit. Expanding my network. Getting closer to God. Working on my mental health.
I still enjoy life, I’m just more intentional now with who and what gets my energy.
If you’re in your early 20s and feel behind… you’re not.
Use these years to learn a skill, build something for yourself, and create options.
We all make mistakes.
But we live and we learn.
