"It is exhausting living in a population where people don't speak up if what they witness doesn't directly threaten them." --David Wojnarowicz
What we all have are bodies--disabled, abled, ill, healthy, broken, ours. When we are unable to care for our bodies because of governmental decree or hateful social ideologies, we are being told that the one thing we all own doesn't belong to us. I want to use my body to show support for other bodies and I can do that by putting it in places of protest and dissent, placing it in between an attacker and a human, and remove it from establishments that discriminate. Wojnarowicz wrote "realizing I have nothing left to lose in my actions I let my hands become weapons, my teeth become weapons, every bone and muscle and fiber and ounce of blood become weapons, and I feel prepared for the rest of my life." #nationalaidsday #worldaidsday
