🔴⚪️⚫️ The Weekly Roundup 🔴⚪️⚫️ 🏊🏻 🚲 🏃‍♀️ Llanelli Sprint TriathlonAnother firm favourite in the triathlon calendar and once again a fantastic event put on by @healthy_life_activities 👏 From sunny skies to experienced triathletes and members taking on their very first triathlon, the day had everything. Huge congratulations to everyone who took part and represented the club so well 🔴⚪️⚫️ 🇪🇸 Mallorca 70.3O in sunny Spain, once again delivered fast racing and incredible scenery ☀️ A huge well done to Mike Launder, Peter Richards, Julian Phillips and Steve Robinson for taking on the challenge and smashing out another brilliant event 🤩 🏃 Welsh Masters 10K A brilliant achievement for Nigel Barnes who represented both Wales and PTH at the Welsh Masters 10K in Bideford, finishing as the 3rd Welshman in his age category 👏 fantastic running and representation 🏁 Carten 100 This amazing endurance event saw riders take on the 100 mile journey from Cardiff to Tenby 🚴‍♂️ Year after year we continue to see more club members step up to this iconic challenge, with Mandy Town, Ben Williams and Beth Williams among those flying the club colours this year 👏 🌳 Margam Park TrailHuge well done to Ceri, Louise and Sharon for taking on the trails at Margam Park and putting in brilliant performances 👏 ⭐️ @parkrunuk highlights this week 🅿️ Swansea🥈 and a huge 2️⃣5️⃣th parkrun milestone for Ffion Davies 👏🚨 Course PB for Steve Williams ✈️ parkrun tourism this week included Denise Warlow at Llwybr Dyffryn Tywi, Kay Barnes at Bideford, Kathryn Cunningham at Eastville, Roger Jones at Cwmbran, Abigail Simmons at Bushy, Tom Rees-Gralton at Grangemoor and Vickie Humber at Millennium Country Fantastic to see the club represented across so many events once again. 🔴⚪️⚫️ The Weekly Roundup 🔴⚪️⚫️ Some incredible performances to shout about this week 👏 🏔️ At the Rassus Bannau Marathon, Claire Walters put in an epic effort tackling a huge 6,316 ft of elevation to secure an outstanding 4th place finish. A seriously strong run on a very tough course ⛰️🔥 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 At the Welsh Championships 25 Mile TT, a huge well done to Lewis Bradley for a brilliant performance against some of the best in the field. A great effort and fantastic to see the club represented at championship level 👏 ⭐️ Shoutout to some of our @parkrunuk highlights: 🅿️ in porthcawl: 🚨 new course PB for Stuart Williams. TCS London Marathon 2026 🇬🇧🥇✅ - It's taken a full week to reflect on this one. I'm not used to a race not going to plan and have taken a lot away from this one. A true realisation that we don't always have our day in sport even when the training has all gone well on paper. When you are carrying heavy emotions and stresses, it's important to realise this can affect race day and it certainly did for me ❌😥 - When the miles became tough, I was finding it very hard to focus and dig in, with a lot going through my mind 😥 - On reflection to come away with a time of 2.42 on a very hard and challenging day can only be a good thing and I'm very glad I fought through to the finish line just like our princess @olivia_finches_fight did living with her diagnosis for 4 years. She was strong, couragious and battled like nothing I've ever seen before whilst rarely complaining and living life to the full 🪽 🌈 🙏 - This one was all for you OJF #foreversix 😥 💔

🔴⚪️⚫️ The Weekly Roundup 🔴⚪️⚫️ Another huge week for the club with members taking on some incredible events across running and open water 👏 @londonmarathon 2026 saw Rachael Thomas, Matthew Blackmore, Emma Colwill, Mikey Davies, Samantha Earle, Sam Healy, Jayne Howe, Dean Howe, Paul Jelley, Joe O’Shea, Gareth Poston, Neil Rees, Rebekah Reid, Lisa Smithers, Wendy Snatchfold, Alex Williams and Tim Hubbard all flying the 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 in London, an amazing achievement and a day to remember for all involved Also taking on LM MyWay were Darren Forrester, Jane Harwood, Vickie Humber and Linzi Margetson putting in fantastic efforts and representing the club brilliantly 👏 At the Cool Mile Swim Tal-y-llyn, Mike Launder and Anthony Holling took on the challenge, with Mike securing a brilliant 🥈 in the wetsuit category 🏊‍♂️ a fantastic result! 🌲 Tonmawr Hilly 5 – Sunday 31st May 2026 at 11:00am 🌲 We are delighted to bring back the much loved Tonmawr Hilly 5 and we cannot wait to welcome you all back for another unforgettable day of running. Set within the stunning grounds of Bryn Bettws Lodge in the heart of Afan Forest, this race offers some of the most scenic views you will find on the running calendar. Do not be fooled though, this is a tough course. With around 750ft of elevation, it will test you from start to finish. But that is exactly what makes it so special. From challenging climbs to rewarding descents, every mile gives you something different. The sense of achievement when you cross the finish line is something every runner will remember and be proud of.
