earlier in the day, i ordered a bowl of 微辣 (direct translation: weak spicy) malatang at bedok reservoir and the bowl was anything but. afterwards, i faced a 5 at Tai Seng, and it’s also 大辣 (big spicy) 🥵 but okay la, that’s why we eat mala and climb right? after sweating and saying “kill me”, we just couldn’t walk away. anyway, mdm here couldnt reach my last high point again after this first attempt in the video, so i conclude that two cut-looses are too much for a day. clue: @ahree.ana ’s toe hook beta was helpful to make the first part of the climb much easier. for now, i am bracing myself to feel the consequence of the collective excitement i faced today
+ two 6s i completed earlier in the sesh
legit forgot how to climb after the festive season. the counter staff forgot me too cause he had to double check my identity against my photo. i also wrongfully referred to @zeemazeem as zul 🫨 (forgive meeee) but hey i made it back, and things can only go upwards from here 🫣
i like how i made very few micro adjustments with each passing attempt today. when i am tired, i guess i don’t really overthink and just exeggcute (yes, the pokemon with the on-point expressions)
last vid, blue: improssibruuuuu
vid 1: haven’t sent anything on this side of the gym in a long time 🫨 BAGGED A 5! victory!
vid 2: another tricky 5
vid 3: 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
today i was more dynamic than @pangtwotwo . go figure!
feeling stuck on the blue 8 at the top, but happy to go pass the first crux without having to span. again, @alan.takeuchi saved the day with just one advice: to consciously direct my body parallel to the wall instead of facing left ✌🏻
white wild: told my brain i won’t really smack my face onto the wall, so i could go in closer to the wall.
white 10: after observing a lot of people try this, i went on it to realise that i could also do the front part. now the second part looks tough… well it’s above my pay grade after all!
