Familiarization Tour in Camiguin | May 11–14, 2026
Headed by PTAA Vice President for VisMin Matt Poonin in partnership with Vice President for Inbound Ellen Cobarrubias, and in full support of PTAA President Jaison Yang, Executive Vice President Evelyn Bondagjy, Treasurer Helena Ty, media partners, and PTAA members, the group recently explored the wonders of Camiguin — the Island Born of Fire — during a memorable Familiarization Tour held last May 11–14, 2026.
Recently recognized by The New York Times as one of the “52 Places to Go in 2026,” Camiguin impressed delegates with its breathtaking destinations, rich culinary traditions, and warm local hospitality.
The tour also included a meaningful cultural side trip in Butuan through the support of DOT CARAGA and the City Government of Butuan, highlighting the region’s heritage and tourism potential.
More than a journey, the Familiarization Tour strengthened partnerships and reinforced PTAA’s commitment to promoting the beauty and diversity of the Philippines.

PTAA Foundation in Bicol
This morning, the PTAA Foundation, led by PTAA EVP and Foundation Chairperson Evelyn Bondagjy and PTAA President Jaison P. Yang, distributed relief goods to tourism workers in Pilar.
PTAAF extended assistance to affected tourism frontliners, such as boatmen, resort staff, therapists, and other workers, whose livelihoods have been severely impacted by the current fuel crisis and the effects of the recent Mayon Volcano eruption.
Through initiatives like this, PTAA Foundation continues to stand in solidarity with tourism workers and communities in need, bringing not only assistance but also hope and support during these challenging times.
