Breaking: Based on further investigation, the Pennsylvania SPCA’s Animal Law Enforcement team located Miracle’s littermates. All of the puppies are safe and have been surrendered to the PSPCA. They will undergo forensic evaluations from our veterinary team. From there, if deemed healthy, they will go into foster care until they are old enough to find forever homes. Miracle’s continue remains guarded. Our Animal Law Enforcement team continues to investigate. #endanimalcruelty #endanimalabuse #huskypuppies

A puppy this young should never know pain like this. Seeing Miracle injured and hurting breaks our hearts, but if there’s one thing we already know about her, it’s that she’s a fighter. She’s safe with us now, and we’ll do everything we can to help her heal. Hang in there, Miracle. We’ve got you now. Read her story in our previous posts.

It’s Law Enforcement Appreciation Week and we couldn’t be more proud of the dedicated officers on our Animal Law Enforcement team here at the Pennsylvania SPCA. When our team responded to a home in Northumberland County in February 2025, they found several dogs living in horrific conditions. Three had already passed away, while the surviving dogs were severely emaciated, confined in stacked crates without food or water, and in desperate need of care. Our officers made a promise to those animals that day - we would fight for justice. Yesterday, after more than a year of persistence, the individual responsible was found guilty on 58 animal cruelty charges, including 22 felony counts. His co-defendant had already pleaded guilty. Because of our officers’ dedication, the surviving animals are now thriving and in loving homes across the country. To our Animal Law Enforcement team - thank you for your courage, compassion, and unwavering commitment to animals who cannot speak for themselves. Because of you, lives are changed every single day.

In all his time with us, Blurr hasn’t had a single adoption meet. We understand why people might walk past his kennel. Living in a kennel is hard on him and it shows. The stress can make it difficult for people to see who he really is. But outside of that kennel? He is a completely different dog. Away from the noise and chaos, Blurr shines. He loves his people deeply and is incredibly smart. He’s been wonderful on offsite adventures, visiting news stations, attending events, and spending quality time out and about with his volunteer buddies. Everywhere he goes, he shows us just how much potential he has - he just needs someone willing to take a chance on him. We’re hoping more people get to see the real Blurr with the help of our friends at @new965philly , and this weekend at @animalleague 's Tour for Life Mobile Adoption Event. Head over to Philadelphia Brewing Company from 12–3 PM this Saturday, where he’ll be joined by several other adoptable dogs, cats, and kittens. We know Blurr’s person is out there. They just have to see him the way we do. - 🏠 The Pennsylvania SPCA 📍 350 E Erie Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19134 ⭐️ Kennel #3079

Meet Bach. He was adopted from us 9 years ago...making him an 11-year-old senior pup today. His owner died, and he ended up back here with us. We often find him staring at the door. Is he waiting for his owner to return? Is he looking for a way out? His calm spirit and gentle soul belong in a home taking relaxing naps in the sun. He is open to live with children or dogs. Will you help us find this senior his final forever home? - 🏠 The Pennsylvania SPCA 📍 350 E Erie Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19134 ⭐️ Kennel #3079

Did you know that we rescue animals of all kinds? It's not just about cats and dogs. In fact, we began to protect horses in the city of Philadelphia in 1867. This beautiful steer is safe at our Pennsylvania SPCA Danville Center and is enjoying the good life. Now, we will search for a permanent home for him to live out his life happily and healthily!
