There’s something I’ve been quietly working on that means more than I can put into words.
What started as a scuba diving certification in St. Croix became an exploration of fear, resilience, and legacy. A journey beneath the surface, and back to the memories that shaped it all. I’m sharing this now as I prepare to leave for an Art Residency in St. Croix—a destination that feels like the ultimate "Rebirth."
This trailer is a window into a film about my journey through grief and the independence I found while submerged in the ocean.
This is Baby Dolphin.

Thank you to Indy @artscouncilindy
for awarding me the Creative Renewal Grant. Truly honored and grateful for the opportunity to rest and find new inspiration. This is only the beginning.
Today was a surprise I didn't see coming! I have still been on a high from my art residency in St.Croix at @cmcarts_inc and this morning during our annual staff photo I was greeted by @visitindy and was formally given the Visit Indy Rose Awards nomination.
Thank you to the @eiteljorgmuseum for nominating me and I look forward to the 35th Annual Rose Awards Ceremony on April 30th.
I am so grateful and the blessings have continued to flow. Pardon my tears...nothing but tears of pure joy.
ROSE is an acronym for Recognition Of Service Excellence. The program shines a light on the waiters, cab drivers, service associates, and other non-managerial hospitality employees that make every Indianapolis visitor feel special. By going beyond the expectations of their job descriptions, these service champions leave lasting impressions that bring true meaning to the phrase “Hoosier Hospitality. ”Every year we gather to honor these goodwill ambassadors at a gala event which is an awards ceremony and, moreover, a celebration of an industry and the people who roll up their sleeves and do their jobs every day with pride in their companies and their city.
Thank you Eitlejorg Museum. Thank you Visit Indy for recognizing and acknowledging my love for our community!
CMCArts Unity Community Freedom Justice & Friendship Children's After-School Exhibition marked the closing of Rebecca Robinson artist-in-residence. The children learned how to host their own exhibition in our courtyard.
The children all spoke sharing with their families and the community their title to their artwork, why they love art, and their wish to give back to their community. Some of the children chose to sell their artwork and they created Limited Edition Prints. All money raised went back to support Youth Education Programs.
The children created thank you cards for Rebecca. Two lessons we kept hearing were "Trust the process" and "It is ok to make mistakes, what did you learn from it." Rebecca guided the students in creating hand cast sculptures and gave them the space to make it their own. They enjoyed layering paint and adding embellishments.
The participants formed friendships with other creative youths from public schools, religious schools, and homeschool.
This program was supported by Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands Bank Popular Grant. Love what you see? Donate to assist CMCArts to continue giving art opportunities to our community.
You can see the hand sculptures at Youth Art Month Student Art Exhibit that opens this Saturday, March 14 CHANT - Crucian Heritage And Nature Tourism from 6pm-9pm along with the talented art students across St. Croix.

CMCArts loves visiting schools! We visited St. Croix Educational Complex High School and St. Croix Career and Technical Education Center with Rebecca Robinson our artist-in-residence.
@psnob
Rebecca talked with Ms. Sabarite's sewing students about her Psnob one-of-a-kind purses. The students then collaborated creating their own collection and presented to their classmates.
Rebecca gave an artist talk to art students from Danica David, Shakir Smith, & Dwydale Dariah's art classes sharing her art journey included being part of the 18 artist that created the Black Lives Matter Mural in Indianapolis.
Thank you to the teachers and school administrators for your support in bring CMCArts Artist-in-Residence Program to the classrooms. Art career conversations with artists are important for the next generation to help inspire. We appreciate Rebecca's openness to talk about struggles as well as successes in making a place for herself in the world of art through her determination.

To celebrate all of the children and their hard work, I wanted them to experience their own art exhibition!
The children learned so much and created original artwork that they will always cherish.
The children practiced speaking on the mic to learn to be comfortable speaking in public about their artwork and I taught them how to prepare for their group exhibition from gallery tags to artists statements. They even picked the name of their show!
We will also have limited edition prints to sell. Funds will be donated to the museum!
See you tonight at 5pm!
