SPEED AS FAITH: Confessional Delay Protocol. This video work, featuring performer Lertulo, is presented within the group exhibition CONFESSION at Emergency @emergency_space_ ╳ FAUX. Filmed in Église Saint-Gervais and Salle paroissiale Jeanne d’Arc, the piece operates at the intersection of documentation and constructed ritual. The performance is not a reenactment but a staged interpretation of a lived moment. Lertulo conducts a confession of everyday life. What is recorded is not belief, but its residual structure: posture, delay, silence. The confessional becomes an interface, the body a unit held in suspension, the camera a neutral witness. In alignment with the exhibition’s speculative approach to religion, the work treats the sacred as an operational condition rather than a fixed category. Ritual is displaced from institution into gesture. The church does not produce transcendence; it processes presence.
