I want to share exciting news: Currently I’m working on printing of the book in bigger edition, and soon you will be able to preorder it! Feel free to text me about more details 💖
Limited amount of books should be available in the middle of December, let me know if you want to preorder a copy. Otherwise, more books will arrive in upcoming February.
Happy to share a few more illustrated pages from my children’s book “curious creatures”. The book is addressed to all curious humans, not just children, as it collects deep philosophical questions. (see the post below for more information about the book)

Risograph printed zine Intira, drawings with sumi ink and dry brush, A3 ⚫️
Intira is a fantasy word that translates from Latin as anger from within. Like other emotions, anger is experienced on both a physiological and an emotional level. Both levels are invisible, so in a way surreal for us. I have always been fascinated by the aesthetics of the microbiological structure of our bodies. When we deal with our emotions, we often forget that they are an abstract continuation of our physiology and cannot be separated from it. In this project, I use expressive ink drawings inspired by biological structures, combining emotional and physiological levels to express and process my state of anger.

Bologna children’s book fair @bolognachildrensbookfair was great this year! Grateful for all the meaningful and motivational conversations, artistic inspiration from all over the world, lots of smiles, tons of tasty gelato, the best company, feeling of community and the energy to run back home and start new projects!
Next year, same place 😉
Dreams of meeting a rare gentle shima-enaga and falling in love. Inspired by spring melancholy in my beloved Tokyo. Thank you for beautiful memories and new lyrical dreams.
Also, experimenting with purely digital sketching.

The Smell of a Dragonfly
🐶🧒🏻🫙
Did you ever wonder how a dragonfly smells? Do you remember the scent of your grandmother’s kitchen or the smell of your favorite pie? Maybe there are even some strange smells you like, but never dared to admit? The girl in this story collects remarkable scents in glass jars. The wonderful world of smells helps us remember moments and keep them close. Alongside her best friend, a dog named Momo, she goes on a big adventure to catch the scent of a tiny, fast dragonfly and discovers something even better along the way.

There’s a specific kind of peace that comes with moving through the world on foot. It’s never just about the steps or the view at the top, but the rhythm of the trail and my favourite people walking it beside me.
Grateful for all the covered kilometres and more adventures to come!

Spoiler: in my next picture book a dog will play an important role. I grew up with a doggie. Even though, Nicole (my golden retriever) doesn’t have dots, this illustration are dedicated to her. My best friend since I was 14 years old. The most loving, accepting and gentle creature ever. I miss her a lot these days. She’s an oldie golden retriever in Kyiv freezing with my parents with no heating and electricity atm. ❤️🩹 Dogs are the best.

It’s crazy to see how my medical background still fingerprints the visual language I developed throughout the years. Even when I’m not aware of it, I find myself tracing structures that feel like anatomy or cellular patterns. Can you see the biological influence in these strokes, or is it just me?

Brewing and drinking tea is a daily relaxing ritual with myself. Every time I travel, ultralight or not, I have at least three different loose leaf tea types. The must have ones are Earl Grey for the morning, Hojicha, Greek mountain tea, Ukrainian herbal mix from my grandmother’s garden, Silver needle white tea… the list can go on.
Do you have small rituals to cope with these cruel times and stay in the moment?

Did you ever pretend being a rock? When did you feel invisible the last time? What made you want to disappear?
Every day I admire rocks for their beauty and presence. The ones under the rain and inside of my house on the heater, huge and heavy ones and tiny ones I can hide in my little pocket, smooth ones to touch fast and the rough ones to be careful with… Sometimes I imagine how would it be to become a rock.
