phaeb is a Street Poet, Cultural studies scholar, Photographer, and Social Justice & Diversity Trainer specializing in addressing racism, ableism, and discrimination in East Germany. He is a founding member of the independent label Daily Concept and the band dude&phaeb. He has been a member of the ISD (Initiative of Black People in Germany) since 2023. Born in Gotha in 1983, he studied in Hildesheim and Thessaloniki. His areas of expertise include anti-discrimination, cultural education, the aesthetic practices of hip-hop, and accessible communication. He dreams of an inclusive democracy, and lives in Leipzig. phaeb recently completed a mentoring program within the framework of the German Federal Cultural Foundation’s “Disabled Leadership Mentoring Program” in his continuing work which melds music, poetry and activism with eloquence and measured forcefulness.
