MIDWEST DISPOSSESSED release show // PSEUDOSCOPE showcase Saturday, July 20 @ The Stutz - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Come celebrate the release of MIDWEST DISPOSSESSED, a collaborative work from photographer Michael Ginda (@g_not_m ) and composer Leon Todd Johnson (@airportpeoplemusic ), in which they reflect on the current state of industrial retreat and nature's slow reclamation of rural communities in the Wabash Valley. Listen to the music, view the art, support the artists buy purchasing the MIDWEST DISPOSSESSED photobook/cd or an art print. MIDWEST DISPOSSESSED - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - PSEUDOSCOPE 003 A collaborative work by photographer Michael Ginda and composer Leon Todd Johnson (aka airport people). This unique, four-part blend of visual and auditory art explores the current state of rural communities in and around the Wabash Valley through Ginda’s poignant imagery and Johnson’s moving orchestral score. While capturing the effects of industrial retreat, the photography documents the haunting beauty of nature’s reclamation of these areas. Through cello, clarinet, oboe, piano, violin, and synthesizer, Johnson’s composition distills the complex emotions of these photographic scenes, further bringing the evocative power of Ginda's photography to life. gena - fluid flows & spirals glow - - - - - Our second release is from gena (@_g__wwww ). fluid flows & spirals glow is the hypnagogic meditative electronic accompaniment to the 'goodtime jesus' photography zine; an 88 page visual abstract narrative/travelogue loosely based on the James Tate poem. Solid Squares - Places is out now! Places is the latest release from multi-instrumentalist/composer/improvisor @solidsquares_ . Five ambient instrumental sonic landscapes featuring saxophone, piano, synth, and samples. Each piece is based on a field recording captured during moment in Tom's life, like an auditory photograph of a pleasant memory. Released on hand-stamped CD accompanied by an art zine featuring the photography of @_g__wwww and collages by @vonschwab inspired by the music. Limited to 100.

Solid Squares - Places - - - - - Our first ever release is from multi-instrumentalist, composer, very nice person Tom Lageveen (as @solidsquares_ ), who brings us five ambient soundscapes built on field recordings. This release includes a Zine of collages by Dylan Schwab (@vonschwab ) and photography by Gordon Wantuch (@_g__wwww ) as visual accompaniment.
