“The Sire of Sires (Desire's Eternal Swarm)" documents an improvised performance of Vaslav Nijinky’s “The Afternoon of a Faun." The performance was privately held at the defunct horse breeding farm where Nijinsky was reincarnated as a stallion -- a prophecy he made when dying. Nijinsky' father, Northern Dancer, who is considered the most prolific stud of all time is buried on the farm. While his grave is historically designated the remainder of the farm including its pasutes are being redeveloped into suburban sprawl.
Considered a self-portrait, this film questions the possibility and limits of reproducing oneself.
"This work is the latest chapter in Prosser’s expanding video series mapping personal and collective histories of his hometown. Diving deep into the entanglements of history, place, and self, Prosser’s films expose multi-fold architectures of identity.”
This work was produced during my residency at the RMG this past summer and owes many thanks to the support of RMG curator @hankeating2018 and the performative will of @tenderentropy , @mrprosser1 (dad), and @c__m__c__m__c__m .

Last summer in the fiery depths of bromance @_fuhsta taught me how to DJ and ever since I've hardly taken a day off it. While in many ways music was my first art, I have never publicly released any of it. I have theories as to why but none are especially reasonable. So here I am with a piece for dancing too. It feels nice to be sharing again 😭😭🥲
