🌳 The Community Tree Nursery volunteers were busy sowing seeds last week! 🌳 ✨ They managed to sow out germinating seeds into trays which is the first important step in growing young trees. The species sown include: - Blackthorn - Crab apple - Judas tree - Elder - Silver birch - & more! The volunteers then got to work building the new raised-planters (repurposed cattle troughs) in the new nursery area. They finished the day by conducting a couple of pH tests on the soil samples from the new area, determining whether the soil is in a suitable condition for growing trees. So far the results are looking good 🌱✨ #PSDCF #CTN
