Who is Pru?? My full name is Prudence Emily Morgan-Wood, most people call me Pru 🙃🙂 I live in Spain, I live full time in a van, with David and our cat Nami 🐈 I am a rock climber and I first started climbing when I was 7 at my birthday party 🥳 My family doesn’t climb (except my cousin who lives in the USA) but they have and continue to support me in everything I try and I love them all the more for it 💕🥰 I was born in England, moved to France when I was 12 and then to Spain when I was 18 🌍💫 I speak English, French, Spanish and Catalan 🤪 I was born with a hearing impairment and I wear hearing aids in both ears 🦻🏻🦻🏻 If you see me at a crag please say hi! I love nothing more than to talk and meet new people 🥰 Anything else you want to know ? This amazing photo was taken by @mardiazphotographer 😍 I usually don’t like photos of me with glasses but Mar is a photography master 🥹💕

My helmet is part of who I am as a climber ❤️ it’s light, comfy and most of the time I forget I’m wearing it. Wearing a helmet should be a choice that we don’t feel embarrassed to make. It doesn’t mean we’re a beginner, it doesn’t mean we don’t know how to climb, it simply means that we choose to wear a helmet to reduce risk 🫶🏻 I will never think less of anyone for choosing not to wear a helmet but they should know the risks and know the consequences… Rocks can fall, holds can break, quickdraws can be dropped and falls can be nasty… Although it is unlikely to happen to you it COULD happen to you so why not wear a helmet? I compare it to seatbelts. When we travel in a car we wear our seatbelts even though a crash is unlikely because we know that the CONSEQUENCES of a crash could be fatal… I absolutely LOVE climbing and I would feel so silly if I injured something I could so easily protect. I like my head and I’d prefer it to stay intact and for me to be able to climb for many years to come ❤️ So for those of you out there that choose to wear your helmets, wear them with pride 💪🏻🌟❤️ I’ve been climbing for over 20 years and I plan to continue to climb for many more 🤞🏻🥹 Photos by @mardiazphotographer and @david.zarco46

La Fabelita has been such fun to climb on and I want to thank ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE for their support whether it be from afar or at the cave cheering me on! This route intimidated me for several reasons: 1️⃣ I find climbing in Santa Linya really hard and trying an 8c route there seemed like it would be too much for me 2️⃣ It has a huuuuuge jump in the middle of the route AFTER the crux and mentally I wasn’t sure I could take falling there time after time 3️⃣ The start section is supposedly an 8a (or the hardest part of an 8a) and I find it really difficult So what did I do? 1️⃣➡️ I gained confidence in the cave trying and sending a couple of easier routes first and felt much better after quickly sending Rollito Sharma R1 8b and Irak Attack 8a+ 2️⃣➡️ I jumared up to the dyno and did not come back down until I had figured out a method I was comfortable with and that I could repeat three times in a row 3️⃣➡️ I asked fellow shorter climbers how they had climbed the 8a section and rejoiced every time I got through it. Thank you @javieramoragam and @cintiapercivati for sharing your methods with me ❤️🫂 In the end I was not able to send La Fabelita before David and I had to leave but: 🌟 I consistently got through the crux sometimes twice in the same day 💪🏻 🌟 I did many big links including 1 hang (I fell once and then pulled back on and linked to the top) 🌟 I have videos of most of the sections so I’ll be able to remember my beta 💭 🌟 It was amazing to have people share their beta and experiences with me and for that I am truly grateful 🫶🏻 🌟 I am SO SO happy and PROUD of my progress and want to thank @betamindlab for helping me with the mental aspect ❤️ It’s not always about the destination, you can also enjoy the ride ❤️ ** Please take a moment to appreciate these fantastic photos from @mardiazphotographer 🥹🥹

Love hate relationship with this awesome jump on La Fabelita! So cool when you do it but also so hard to coordinate 😂 it’s just so faaaaaar 🦖 😂 I’m a shorter climber at 1m60 and so this dyno for me is one of the hardest moves on the route. My first goal when I started trying the route was to find a beta that worked. In the end I found two! This one in the video and the other jumping from lower down with the right hand, trust me when I say both methods are haaaaard 😂 The photos are by the lovely @mardiazphotographer 🥰 #dyno #rockclimber

3 consecutive high points all in the same day 😳🙈 it’s feeling close ! I’m trying Fabelita in the Santa Linya cave at the moment and here’s a sneak peak into how it’s going! The vibes here at the cave are so uplifting and inspiring and I couldn’t have done this high point on my fourth go of the day without all of the support 🫶🏻🫶🏻 Thank you @mard1az for the video and official commentary 🤭💕

I’m going to admit to something that I don’t think many people would… When I first tried Organyasme it was a few years ago and I didn’t even make it half way through the second pitch… I came down crying... mentally exhausted 🤯 I was so embarrassed I remember sending a message to @climb4pennys saying “DO NOT TELL ANYONE ABOUT THIS! “ David and I wanted to try Pànic Timpànic a really cool 7b on Roca Narieda but there were people stuck on it and they were moving quite slowly so we decided to check out Organyasme the 8a+ multi pitch to see what it was like 😳 I instantly felt panicked, I couldn’t explain it but I felt out of my depth and even had to use a sky hook to claw myself through the crux of the 8a+ 😵‍💫 I was petrified to fall and I only managed to get about halfway up the 45m pitch before I said to David: I can’t do this. David lowered me back down to the belay, we switched roles and he made his way up to the 8a+ anchor. When he got there he asked me if I wanted to top rope it but I said “no” I was mentally SPENT. He cleaned the route and we both lowered back down to the ground and ended our day in the bar in Coll de Nargó 🤣 If you had told me then that I would come back and send the route I would not have believed you. I just thought I’d share this to show that there is always a lot more behind a send. Sometimes things on social media look easy or effortless but it is often not the case at all. So next time you get overwhelmed or think something is too hard, give yourself time and belief and you will see that anything is possible 🥰🫶🏻 Thank you @xavi.sabater for this video of me topping out after flashing one of the higher pitches ❤️

Organyasme FFA?: some projects you plan and some just fall perfectly into place ✨✨ Last Friday at 8:30pm with the dying light of the day, I started up the final pitch left to send of Organyasme. Xavi had sent it the day before in an amazing onsight fight and I had fallen on my flash attempt, a devastating 3 draws from the top on a stretched out move. The story of Organyasme started out as a relaxed trip with good friend @xavi.sabater : Xavi and I with @david.zarco46 filming decided to try the 8a+ pitch the first day ( I led and sent the first 7a pitch ) and then the second day we jumared past the first two pitches (7a and 8a+) and climbed up the rest of the route. I led the 3rd 6c pitch and then Xavi onsighted the 4th 7b+/c and asked if I wanted to have a go leading it. I thought “why not?”. He left the draws in and despite a really reachy boulder with some very minuscule intermediates I managed to flash it, I suddenly realised that there was only one hard pitch left to try 💥 Xavi yet again onsighted the next 7c+ pitch and yet again left the draws in for me to try and lead it. I actually found this pitch to be fairly equal to the 7b+/c pitch in difficulty but a lot more sustained. I don’t remember much about the pitch just that I wanted to flash it to be able to top out and go back down and try 8a+. I managed to do just that. Xavi let me lead the final 6c+ pitch and all I could think about as I was setting up that final anchor was that I had a shot at sending all of the pitches and I probably wasn’t going to get a better opportunity than this to do it. David and Xavi climb up to meet me at the top and we start rappelling down the pitches. Xavi in full guide mode sorting out the ropes and acting as the broom wagon 🤣 We get to the first anchor. The start of the 8a+ pitch. If I send this I will have sent all of the pitches and all of them bar the first one in a day. I put on my shoes, climb nervously to the boulder, mess up my sequence, improvise, save it and then fall going to the final jug… Continued in comments:
