The most beautiful interiors are rarely about one dramatic moment. What makes a room feel memorable is layering: - Warmth - Contrast - Texture - Scale - Lighting And the quiet balance between them all. In the space, we wanted every element to feel intentional without feeling overly designed. The goal was to create a home that feels sophisticated, welcoming, and deeply lived in. A space that feels just as beautiful on an ordinary Tuesday afternoon as it does when filled with people. To me that that’s what luxury really is. 📷: @stephanekossmannphotographer Styling: @annamolvik timeless, interior design, luxury, interior design, layered interiors, sophisticated, interiors, luxury, living room, warm, modern interiors, livable, luxury, thoughtful interior design #timelessinteriors #layeredinteriors #collectedinteriors

What is the number one mistake I see in expensive homes? They’re beautifully finished… but emotionally flat. Luxury is not about having more. It’s about creating depth, warmth, contrast, and a sense of personality. Some of the most expensive homes still feel cold because everything is too perfect: - matching finishes - overly safe palettes - harsh lighting - rooms designed for photos instead of living The most beautiful interiors feel collected, layered, and deeply personal. That’s what gives a home soul. 📷: @julie.leffell.photo @torisikkemaphotography @stephanekossmannphotographer Styling: @annamolvik @bykellymaguire award winning designer east coast, modern traditional interior design style, luxury kitchen design, dining room inspiration, layered interiors, soulfull homes, luxury kitchen ideas warm interior design, timeless kitchen, high end interior designer, collected interiors

The biggest mistake people make in their living room? They decorate before they design. A beautiful space starts with the foundation NOT the accessories. Your seating should create conversation, not confusion. Your rug should anchor the room, not float in it. Your furniture should fit the scale of the space, not fight against it. The best living rooms feel effortless because every piece has purpose: — Proper seating flow — Balanced proportions — Layered materials — Intentional negative space — A focal point that grounds the room Luxury isn’t about filling a room with expensive pieces. It’s about creating a space that feels curated, functional, and deeply considered. Design the room first. Style it second. 🛋️ 📷: @julie.leffell.photo Styling: @bykellymaguire

Your kitchen should feel like you not just look good in photos. But before choosing finishes, hardware, or even a layout, it helps to understand your kitchen personality. Here’s a simple way to think about it: Are you drawn to spaces that feel calm, tonal, and quietly refined? Or do you love kitchens with contrast, color, and a bit more energy? Do you prefer everything to feel tailored and minimal or layered, collected, and lived-in? There’s no right answer but there is a right fit for how you live. Because the most beautiful kitchens aren’t designed around trends, they’re designed around the people who use them every day. Swipe through and see which one feels most like home. ✨ 📷: @julie.leffell.photo 📷: @torisikkemaphotography 📷: @stephanekossmannphotographer Styling: @annamolvik and @bykellymaguire award-winning interior designer, bold, colorful, and patterned interiors, New Jersey interior designer, NYC interior design, interior designer in Connecticut #KitchenDesign #DesignWithIntention #InteriorInspiration #TimelessInteriors #kitchenstyle

Why do I love color? I believe color is a superpower. It can stop a scroll, shift a mood, and tell a story in seconds. No words, just feeling. As a designer, I don’t just pick colors, I use them build experiences. The right hue can whisper or shout, calm or energize, disappear or demand attention. That’s the magic. That’s the obsession. 🎨 📷: @daniellerobinsonphotography Why do you love color? Why don’t you love color in your home? Who doesn’t love a dramatic After and Before! This guest bedroom transformation was so fun to do! I was challenged with an #equestrianstyle design and I wanted it to be chic not kitschy. There is definitely a fine line between the two so it’s so important to edit edit edit! Goodbye green carpet and 70’s, who knows, maybe even 80’s wallpaper and say hello to The Saratoga Room. Want to create your own equine styled room. Here’s how to Saddle up your space 🐎✨ ✨Channel timeless equestrian charm with a playful twist: rich leather accents, vintage horse art, plaid or tartan textiles, and brass details. ✨Layer in cozy neutrals, a hint of stable-inspired wood, and don’t be afraid to add a touch of kitsch (yes, that cheeky horse figurine counts). It’s all about balancing refined country elegance with personality. Chic, a little quirky, and effortlessly cozy, your dream equestrian retreat awaits. 🐎 📷: @julie.leffell.photo Styling: @annamolvik Interior Design: @prudencebaileyinteriordesign #EquestrianStyle #ChicInteriors #BedroomInspo HorseGirlAesthetic EquestrianElegance RefinedLiving HeritageStyle Timeless Design EquestrianChic Country Estate Luxury Classic Elegance Upscale Interiors Sophisticated Style

Your entryway isn’t just a pass through space, it’s the first impression, the mood setter, the quiet introduction to your home’s story. It’s the feeling you get when you finally walk through the door after a long day… and the moment your guests instantly understand your style, your energy, your intention. So how do you make it perfect? ✨ Keep it intentional: Edit the clutter. Let every piece earn its place. ✨ Create a focal point: A statement mirror, artwork, or console can anchor the space. ✨ Layer the lighting: Soft, warm lighting instantly makes an entrance feel inviting. ✨ Add life: Fresh flowers, greenery, or even a sculptural branch bring energy. ✨ Make it personal: A meaningful object, a favorite book, or a signature scent goes a long way. Your entryway should feel like a deep breath… a transition from the outside world into your own. Great design doesn’t just look good, it feels good the moment you walk in. Its transformation Thursday and this lounge at our #chesternjproject went through a big one! Sadly, my client worked with another design firm for her home previously and just was not happy. Well, when you see the before’s for this room you will understand. since she had already made an investment in this room, I kept the paint color on the built-ins and the tile for the bar. I always respect the fact that my clients don’t always love some of the investments they’ve made, but that it cost real money and we want to work with it as best we can, when we can. I love this client because she is such a color lover, she’s got a lot of glam in her and wants something that feels fun and happy and makes her smile every time she comes into the room. She told me to envision her girlfriends in here, drinking champagne! What could be better inspiration? I love champagne!! I have to pat myself on the back on this one because this really was a labor of love! When you’re locked into a particular color palette, it can make everything so much harder in designing a room. It’s definitely easier, while still not being easy, to start from scratch! Honestly, I think we nailed it! From the gorgeous wallpaper to the pink ceiling to the sculptural lighting, and monochromatic mood makes this a spot to feel cozy watching TV or a fun place to come and sip champagne with your besties! let me know what you think in the comments! 📷: @torisikkemaphotography Styling: @annamolvik Interior Design: @prudencebaileyinteriordesign award-winning interior designer, bold, colorful, and patterned interiors, New Jersey interior designer, NYC interior design, interior designer in Connecticut, interior design in New Jersey

True design should look effortless, like it was always meant to be there. Every detail, every texture and finish works together to create a home that’s elevated, uniquely you and unforgettable. You don’t have to make loud statements to get wow factor. Rather, it can be many little statements that accumulate into dazzling your eye throughout the home. Think@of it as quiet comfort.
