Every Thursday at VICE, PRSM AV partners with Part Timers, a rotating crew of local DJs, to create a weekly gathering that brings people together through music, atmosphere, and shared experience. What started as a simple weeknight event has evolved into a community touchstone—a space where emerging DJs can experiment, regulars can reconnect, and newcomers can feel instantly welcomed.
For the community, this weekly show offers consistency without sameness. It’s a reliable place to unwind, discover new sounds, and support local talent. The open, collaborative nature of the event keeps the scene accessible and grassroots, giving artists a platform that isn’t gatekept and giving the neighborhood a cultural anchor that feels alive rather than corporate.
PRSM AV’s lighting approach changes from week to week based on the DJs and the vibe they bring. Some nights lean into warm, subtle atmospheres that let people settle into the groove; other nights call for sharper movements, color sweeps, or strobing dynamics that push the energy higher. Instead of forcing a “house look,” we build the room around the artists—matching palettes to genre, pacing cues with the crowd, and adjusting the entire visual story in real time.
