Nilaya Anthology marked its first anniversary last week. Mumbai’s design landmark has steadily reshaped how design, craft and culture are presented and experienced in India. Nilaya Anthology has established itself as a space that moves beyond the conventions of retail to create a more layered dialogue with design.
Cultural voices, leading editors, creative leaders, and tastemakers came together to celebrate this milestone, at an evening rooted in Nilaya Anthology’s considered curatorial approach, with chants of monks from Ladakh, Tholu Bommalata (a centuries-old form of shadow puppetry) from Andhra Pradesh, Kalaripayattu from Pondicherry, and contemporary music by Burrah and Jaiveer - in a true reflection of Nilaya Anthology’s commitment to plurality.
